Looks like, at the end, the 4th option is unfortunately true

volinex card provider has admitted a war against crypto from visa and mastercard.

Yes they can find one. Every day, there are new members of the crypto community so when it comes to business, when there are many potential customers then that is where the money is. It is quite a big opportunity for the issuer to just let go of this opportunity and maybe they will be able to resolve the issue and wavecrest will be back or another one would take-over. It will not take a long time for them to find one though since crypto-market is a big market and those companies are just thinking of ways to take the opportunity without violating the existing regulations.

They all are declaring this, they are companies with employees, and I think they say that because they have to.

I don't think employees of those companies are so happy in this moment.

funny thing: I've opened a couple of tickets to wirex when it still worked, and the replies came from beautiful girls (i googled those names)

I still don't believe a new issuer will be foud so easily. I hope to be wrong, really.

TENX declare that they already found the issuer, and that they will replace all their disabled cards for free.

I'm su4e that new card provider will be found, it's only matter of time - when? I think that it can take few months to solve current situation.
I already saw that Spectrocoin/Bankera found new card provider and they already received first cards. As they said, they had plan B. But still, it's hard to tell, how much time they need to integrate these new cards to their system and distribute plastic cards to their customers.

I think solution will not be so easy.

If I understood correctly, VISA were shut down outside SEPA since August, and nothing has been done in 5 months.

I've a bad feeling

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Advanced Cash support center.

At the moment, we are integrating the card platform solution from a new vendor that will be able to issue cards outside the EEA/SEPA area.
We will be able to provide more information on this at a later stage.

Hello!

Sorry for previous reply.

Unfortunately we have to let you know that Wave Crest, our current card solution provider, is unilaterally shutting down our card program. New virtual and plastic cards are no longer issued to any users whether or not they are EEA/SEPA area residents.

Now we are working on connecting a new card program from a new card issuer.

We will be able to provide more information on this at a later stage. Please, follow the "News" section inside your account.
Sincerely,

I think this issue will be solved.
Maybe not so soon as we all would like to but Bitcoin debit card is a quite big and profitable market, no matter what some say, and it's in best interest of service providers to continue to offer such service to their customer.
And I don't think this is some kind of war declared to Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general but business issue.

But according to my knowledge Advcash is still providing the service, they have MasterCard not Visa. Or am I wrong?

Adv informed us today, that they are shuttig down deposits for everyone including SEPA residents form 9th feb. All mastercards are permanently shut down from 27th march

This goes for all wave crest holding partners today.

Of course  Wink. The moment VISA banned users from outside EU, Wirex already announced that they will be looking for a new card issuer.

To follow, According to their recent article about the recent halting of service regardless of which country you live in, It is stated that they will be launching soon, not sure about the Q1 tho  Huh

We are moving forward with a new card issuer, and are very close to being able to release our new cards. We expect to deliver this in Q1.

They'll be also releasing new cards which are the travel card and contactless one which is I can't imagine to just be a virtual card so my guess is plastic cards will still be there in the future but I'm not 100% sure, so keep up with their announcements.
