These were the semi-final results:

Sunday 21st April
Coventry City 3-3 Manchester United
Manchester United win 4-2 on penalties

Saturday 20th April
Manchester City 1-0 Chelsea

Th FA Cup final 2024 will take place between the two Manchester clubs just as they did last year. Coventry City came from 0-3 down to score three goals and take the game to extra-time before losing the penalty shoot out. As for Chelsea, they had a lot of chances to score and take a commanding lead before Manchester City scored a fortunate goal.

This is the first FA Cup semi-final taking place today Saturday 20th April:

Manchester City vs Chelsea

Last season Manchester City win the treble. Even though they are sitting top of the Premier League, they were knocked out by Real Madrid in the Champions League. I have a feeling Chelsea will win the game today and that would mean Manchester City would have only the Premier League as their only trophy target.

I will not be surprised if Manchester City end up without a trophy this season because I expect Chelsea to knock them out of the FA Cup today and I also expect Liverpool to win the Premier League.

Leicester City showed why they will probably be returning back to the Premier League next season because they played well against Chelsea. The Chelsea victory was tainted when their fans began to boo Sterling but they won the game 4-2 and will face Manchester City in the semi-final. In the other semi-final, Coventry City will play Manchester United. Both semi-finals will take place at Wembley Stadium.

These are the FA Cup quarter-final games taking place tomorrow Sunday 17th March:

On paper you would have to be confident Chelsea would beat Leicester City. As for the other game, any team could win it but even though Manchester United have home advantage it is Klopp that makes his final appearance at Old Trafford as Liverpool manager therefore they will be motivated too. It should be a good game to watch.

Many would have expected Manchester City to win their game against Newcastle United but the game of the day was between Wolves and Coventry City.

After coming back from a goal down, Wolves took the lead late in the game and it looked like a win for them but Coventry City did not give up and scored two late goals to make it to their first FA Cup semi-final since 1987 and that year they won the competition. What are the chances they will win the competition again in 2024?

There is a derby between two West Midlands teams. Coventry City are the underdogs but I will hope they will the game. As for the other fixture, Manchester City are clearly favourites but Newcastle United are capable of causing an upset because they have nothing to play for this season and would like to end it with a trophy.

As it stands, most people would probably state Manchester City and Liverpool were favourites to win the trophy. After that there is not much to choose between Chelsea, Newcastle United and Manchester United. Least favourites have to be Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Coventry City.

I watched most of the Manchester United game and also saw highlights of the Liverpool game. Manchester United were pushed hard by Newport County and Liverpool were in control throughout their game. Yesterday Everton were knocked. Before that Manchester City knocked out Tottenham. Chelsea and Aston Villa will have a replay after their match ended 0-0 therefore it is too early to make a call about the team that will win the FA Cup.

Having said that, what are the odds on Leicester City winning because they are through to the 5th Round after a comfortable 3-0 win against Birmingham City and are sitting at the top of the Championship and are clearly on course to return to the Premier League.

It was a night of missed opportunities in the Chelsea vs Aston Villa game therefore they will have to have a replay at Villa Park but Manchester City grabbed an 88th minute winner to go through to the 5th round.

Game of the day had to be Tottenham vs Manchester City followed by Chelsea vs Aston Villa. Both of those games were set to be entertaining. The games are nearly approaching full-time. I will post back with a review of the games and the results when the final whistles have been blown.

After all the issues Everton had with points deductions at the hands of the Premier League and with trying to fight of relegation as a results of losing 10 points, it will be a stunning season for them if they won the FA Cup. It took them a replay to get past Crystal Palace and it is early at the moment, they are not favourites but as long as they are involved they will have a chance.

I will post all 3rd round results and 4th round fixtures later.

The score was correct at 2-1 but instead of guessing correctly that Manchester United would win it was Manchester City that won 

I have to congratulate them on the win and on winning the domestic double. Having said that I saw the game and like Inter Milan would not be too worried. I think Inter Milan will win the Champions League final.

Haaland is the only player who has scored the most goals for Manchester City this season and he even managed to bring Manchester City to become the team to fear in the Premier League.

Manchester City have completed the Premier League and FA Cup double. They are also in the final of the Champions League and if they overcome Inter Milan they will win the treble making them the second team after Manchester United in 1999 to achieve that record.

Manchester city are on the verge of making history with just one more title left to put on their name this season. For Manchester city today, it is Gundogan who has made history for them scoring twice almost three times had one not be denied for being offside.

Rashford's drop in form has affected Manchester United a lot, scoring goals has not been easy for them. Garnacho was a good player to bring in, he even had some more shots on goal than Sancho. Manchester United had a good tactics to win the game, but they lack the quality of players to execute it. As soon as Wout Weghorst was brought in, it dawned on me that Manchester United's chances to score had reduced with him.

Manchester City have been brilliant throughout most of the season and they are clearly odds-on favourites to win as far as most bookmakers are concerned but Manchester United is the only British team ever to have completed a treble in the same season consisting of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League therefore they will try their best to stop Manchester City winning today.

From a Manchester United perspective even if Manchester City win the Champions League against Inter Milan it would not mean a treble if they can win the game today. Also, they will be hoping they lost today and against Inter Milan.

From a Manchester City perspective, they are on the verge of making history and just two games are in their path, they will try their best to win those games therefore both cup finals will be entertaining games to watch  

 Let's hope that Man City will forfeit this one since there's Champions league finals at the corner. But knowing Pep, I think he'd want to take the trebles since after this game, they'd have like seven days rest. I also doubt it would be one sided because this is not just any Manchester derby but a decider between who would be the winner.
 If Man UTD would like to carry this cup, they would have to earn it and what I mean by that is, not being comfortable when they score just a goal, since Man City are good at coming from under, and do well to ensure that their defensive wall is not having any loose ends.
  In a way I see the game going to penalties while at another angle, I see Man UTD taking the Cityzens by surprise.
 

It is going to be the top English Premier League scorer against the English Premier League winner of most clean sheets kept in all the games played this season. Erling Haaland has scored three goals against Manchester United this season before, a good record for him against today's game and without Martinez for Manchester United in defence, Manchester United have a real task ahead of them in this game if they will win.

I am not supporting Manchester city to win this title, I will prefer Manchester United to win it, but unfortunately my wish may not be enough to stop this Manchester City team that has been excellent from winning this too.

Overall because of the history of what is at stake I think Manchester United will end up winners as Manchester City will not be able to live up to the pressure of being the in the hunt for the treble. These are the latest odds that I can find on the score after 90 minutes of play and Manchester City are clear favourites to win but this is a cup final and not only can anything happen but the underdogs have a habit of causing upsets.

The biggest advantage Manchester City have is their squad is virtually fit whereas Manchester United do have a few injuries but that cannot be an excuse because the squad for any top level team should be strong enough to cover any unforeseen injuries.

The winner of this league is not determined by the club,sometimes those small clubs do perform better than the big teams in this league and that is why Manchester city and Manchester united should be focused on qualifying to the final,if not it will be a surprise that this small clubs will defeat them to the finals.

I thinks that not the two Manchesters will qualify to the finals but I don't know who will be out of the finals,since this small teams has seen this as an opportunity for them to win a trophy. It is unpredictable to me but let's see how it goes.

I understand what you mean but as this is the FA Cup and many smaller teams have beaten giants before. Most neutrals would probably be supporting the underdogs and for that reason I would not be surprised if both Manchester teams lost their semi-finals and Brighton played Sheffield United in the final. The more probable outcome appears to be the first ever all-Manchester FA Cup final.

@JollyGood it’ll be a boring finale if both or either of the Manchester team’s crash out, and while I understand that Brighton and Sheffield would have earned their right to play in the finals yet it would not be as exciting as a Manchester finale. Also I’m hearing news of Rashford and Haaland both being injured, but I think that they should recover in time for the semis as their injury doesn’t looks serious as of now.

Congratulations to the four non-Premier League teams to get this far in the competition.

West Ham were in contention to win the game but in the end when your opponents bring on Rashford, Casemiro, Martinez and Fred as substitutes then there is always a chance they will end up scoring. I think Garnacho was superb for Manchester United, it is difficult to believe he is just 18 years old. West Ham have only themselves to blame for the loss, they were in a winning position being ahead at 0-1 but ended up losing 3-1.

West Ham were looking like they were going to stop the Carabao cup champions as they scored first, but trust their coach and their comeback spirit. Manchester are on fire right now and if they had started with this sort of form this season, winning the EPL would have also been very possible. Erik Ten Hag knows the exact players to put in each game , and even if he doesn't start them...he can make effective changes. Manchester United can still go ahead to win this competition, everything is possible with this team.

West Ham United will probably be well above the relegation zone when the season ends and they will be safe in the Premier League for next season as they are far too good a team to be relegated therefore it is possible they could cause an upset at Old Trafford

Manchester united might be able to win the English FA cup because their team is unstoppable at the moment. They still have the opportunity to win two more cups this seaan which is this cup and Europa cup. This will be a great achievement for them and Eric Hag. I don't see them win EPL since the points differences is much.

Manchester city is good and capable to winning both English FA and EPL,since they are second on the table and might just overtake Arsenal,if Arsenal loss any of their game. Manchester united will win tonight's match against West Ham because they will be playing at old Trafford, which is hard for them to be defeated at home. It will be an interesting match and I hope it doesn't end up a draw.

It was not that long ago that Leicester City surprised everybody with their Premier League title win but since then they have been far too inconsistent in all competitions to be taken seriously. They did well to climb out of the relegation zone and will no be relegated at least not this season and they could have gone far in cup competitions if they were focused but even that did not work for them. Well done to Blackburn Rovers.

Bristol City made life difficult for Manchester City and the scoreline flattered 0-3 scoreline flattered them a little but they were favourites to go through to the next round.

The Premier League is probably beyond them but they will try to stay in contention until it is mathematically impossible to win it. As for the FA Cup and Europa League, they are in a knockout competition. If they won just one more cup and ended the season in the Premier League top three it would be classed as a successful season for them considering they were at the bottom of the table after back to back defeats in August at the start of the season.

At this stage, Manchester City have to be favourites to life the FA Cup.

They still may have a chance to win all four competitions, but it's highly unlikely. At least I don't think that they have what it takes to win the title in the Premier League. I think that the biggest fight for the title will be between Arsenal and Man. City.

As for the FA cup, if they win today against West Ham, they will face Blackburn in the next round so that title is still pretty much in place.

@JollyGood Leicester played really bad and deserved to be knocked out, and honestly they really need to introspect as to why they’re underperforming so bad that too against such easy opponents. Furthermore Manchester City was always guaranteed to win, hence I was not surprised to see them progress to the next round.

Leeds United was so unfortunate on today’s game, they played good football and couldn’t convert many chances to either equalize on time to keep the game on a stable fate or lead the game in the first half. It was a lucky game on the side of Fulham city.

Manchester City and Manchester United are strong teams and as a football you can call it a favourite but they are merited to be there. The fixtures of this month end is nice, that means this month end will be a time of fun. Fulham vs Leeds United is another strong pair. For the Bristol vs Manchester City, it will be a work over for Manchester City, Stoke  City vs Brighton and Hove Albion, Brighton will lead the game. Leicester City will control Blackburn Rovers.
Coming to the down, Southampton vs Grimsby Town will be a thug of war, Burnley vs Fleetwood Town might have the same fate. Manchester United vs West Ham United, it will be also a work over for Man U. Tottenham will win Sheffield United. This is my prediction

I thought they overpaid for Casemiro because he was already 30 years of age when he joined Manchester United but he has been a very good player for them.

Liverpool were beaten by Brighton. Opponents just do not fear facing Liverpool, they have dipped in form after selling Sadio Mane. It just goes to show how important Mane was for the team (more than Salah). If Liverpool owners sack Klopp they will have to pay compensation and then give the new manager time to rebuild and spend on players he wants to bring in. As long as Klopp does not resign the board will not sack him because the club is now for sale they would prefer to sell it and let the new owners make decisions.

@JollyGood I’m really happy for Manchester United, and the way they’re playing is making every Red Devil fan’s proud and it’s hard to imagine that we were getting Rabiot instead of Casemiro . Furthermore Liverpool season seems to be jinxed, because they have been eliminated from this competition and now I wonder how long before the Liverpool board loses patience with Klopp and sacks him?.

I am certain Arsenal will not win the Premier League and the game today shows Arsenal can be beaten by a more determined opponent. Manchester City will not let go of their champions status easily. Manchester City deserved their win and they proceed to the 5th Round,

Although Manchester city won at the end of the day, they did not quite impress and dominate the game like they usually do. It was a fairly balanced game that I feel that Arsenal could have won had Arteta started with our regular first Eleven players and not removing Thomas Party for Sambi Lokonga, and starting Odegaard. The moment Thomas Partey went off, I feel Manchester United got an edge in midfield. Arsenal was able to contain De Bruyne and Halaand, and that is something good in preparation for when we play Manchester city in the premier league.

Congratulations Manchester city, the can win the FA cup this season, since Arsenal are looking fully focused on winning the EPL.

At the time of writing the post, Manchester City are winning 1-0 with a goal from Ake after 64 minutes. This is the first game in the 4th round of the competition. The following 4th round games take place over the weekend.

The result of the day has to be Stevenage beating Aston Villa after coming from a goal down scoring two goals in the final two minutes of the game. The League Two club have caused a major shock but this is the magic of the FA Cup, smaller clubs can occasionally beat the much bigger clubs.

Well, Chelsea are in big trouble when it comes to the Premier League. There is no real chance of them finishing in the top four this season therefore they will not play Champions League next season. On merit alone, Manchester City,  Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United deserve to finish in the top four but as the season goes on that could change.

As for their game today, Manchester City absolutely took them apart and exposed their weaknesses with a convincing 4-0 win. Even though Manchester City put out  a weakened team, Chelsea tried to field a team as strong as possible because they have to try to win any domestic cup they can. Chelsea are out of the competition and they continue to have a miserable season. Potter is the wrong man to be their manager or coach.

Another big test for Chelsea after loosing already to Manchester City in the Premier League. Hopefully they have been able to make changes and known their errors in the first game that made them loose three points to be able to win Manchester City in this FA cup clash. The winner in this game will be the team to play the winners in the game between Oxford and Arsenal tomorrow. Chelsea in this game don't need to play the defensive, that did not work for them before, they need to put pressure on Manchester City and take any chance they get in this game to avoid loosing a second time to Manchester City.

The way Wolves were playing they deserved to get at least a draw from the game and maybe could have edged it to deserve a win. Though neither team wanted a replay that is what will happen because unlike last season the games will revert to replays and then extra-time and penalties if necessary. I preferred the previous format last season where domestic cup games were decided on the day rather than replays because it adds to an already congested fixture list.

Liverpool will have to travel to Wolverhampton (for the replay) and then winner will move in to the 4th round of the tournament.

 Honestly this game was a shocker. I really should commend the efforts of the Wolves side. Being the goal openers, I expected them to become weak during the second half since most of their games end that way, but after Salah's goal in the 52nd minute, I felt that was the end.
 This game only proves that Jurgen Klopp is really struggling  to get to the top four standings and although it doesn't affect their position, it would have been worth it to perform better. Hopefully they'd do better in the next leg.

Manchester United 3 - 1 Everton

well, i have seen several negative comments about the everton coach frack lampard, apart from him he is responsible for the most results, because even in certain games he could have made some changes in the team strategy he could have achieved better results, but everton already had other coaches with a good reputation who were unable to bring good results to everton, from what i see this situation of bad results for everton may have deeper origins within the management of the club itself

in almost 7 years the owner of everton fired 5 coaches, these are scary numbers, it is not possible that the 5 coaches are wrong and are missing, the problem may not be with the coaches. something else is failing. Lampard's csso I don't know if I will fire him, but if he leaves and takes on another coach, I very much doubt that much will change, probably the thing that would change would be the team not being close to the relegation zone

The game finally ended 3-1 in favour of Manchester United and Marcus Rashford scores again in another Manchester United game. This team that Erik Ten Hag has put together is definitely one to be feared and even more in attack with rumours of Felix and Aboubakar from Cameron likely to join them on loan.

I wonder why they don't use VAR in FA cup games, VAR technology should be used in all competitions since it has improved decision making process although some decisions with it are still biased, but majorly I feel VAR should be used generally. Some decisions from the officials in the game was not completely accepted as correct and should have warranted a VAR check for verification.

The game is at first half and the score is 1-1.

I also expect Manchester United to win the game. As for Lampard, I have no idea how he has survived so long with a dismal record at Everton. I expect Manchester City to win their FA Cup game against Chelsea because Potter and his team have not been good enough most of the season.

Simply put yes Manchester United should win the game.

FA cup is not easy and to know the club that will be the FA cup winner is very difficult, there are many other clubs that are good in EPL that are eager to win FA cup too, Manchester United team can try their best, but they may or may not be the winner. But as for today's match, this season has been a bad season for Everton and they are on the relegation position in premier league, that is enough to let us know that Manchester United is having a better chance to win.

@JollyGood I personally expect Manchester United to win because I’m sure that Erik ten Hag desires to win a trophy in his first season, and the way he prepares his team for every match makes me confident to say that my beloved club is back on track.

Furthermore Lampard needs to go and I can’t understand how has he survived so far?, and lastly do you feel that Chelsea will be able to get revenge on City for yesterday’s loss or do you feel that they’ll be defeated by City again?.
