As much as i want my mining to be more profitable, my guess is that it doesnt reach more then $100.  I would however like to be pleasantly surprised Smiley

There is often a correlation between difficulty and price, albeit a very loose one.

Don't expect the value of Litecoin to increase drastically and the difficulty to remain the same.

I've mined Bitcoins and Litecoins at a loss during certain periods.  If you don't see the future value of these coins however, that's a shame.

With 71 respondents, 83% predicts that litecoin will be the same or higher that the current price. 34% predicts that it will be wildly higher than now. Okay another bump before I'll let this thread sinks until next year.

litecoin won't rise a lot in terms of btc, but it will in terms of fiat

Yah, I agree. I think LTC will rise in terms of BTC, but not drastically.

Wow Slingshot.  Tldr

I voted $150+

I think we've seen nothing yet in terms of growth.  Wait until it really explodes.

This statement doesn't seem to jive with reality or recent events.

Between 30-50

I see it at about 0.03 - 0.05 of BTC and I expect BTC to remain close to 1000 for the next year

Far more than $150 would be my guess.  I would say $500 wouldn't be out of reach.  I believe we've only just hit a critical mass in terms of the number of users and we will see exponential growth for at least a couple years to come.

Think Facebook after it reached 400,000 users...

My guess is around 300 dollars. Litecoin will probably remain relevant for a long time but eventually other cryptos will surpass it. The same thing will probably happen to bitcoin.

Many crypto-currencies will very likely keep surging for at least another year, of not more.

Ten's of thousands every day are signing up at exchanges. That will continue.

Ten's of thousands are starting to mine one way or another, most CPU mining.

The media is spreading the word daily, for their own reasons.

This is the Digital Gold Rush, much like the old California Gold rush over 100 years ago.
=======================================================

I don't see this flaming out for many issues until capacity is met and the demands met.

Only then is there apt to be some serious and severe shakeouts, and lasting corrections.

It will take a long while to meet wide spread demands for these Crypto-Commodity-Currencies

Going forward it's Marketing and getting as well geared up as Bitcoin already is that determines
the medium to longer term winners. That and who has the best of breed of any number of topics.
From Fundamentals, to Concepts, to merely a Great Name with little else. Some will end up shining
mostly on their marketing efforts. And that's where Litecoin may have the edge if they can get it
all together, and get it done before many others possibly surge ahead of them. Litecoin backers
have the assets now. It remains to be seen though if they will pony up like Bitcoin backers did.

Over the next year I estimate this will only grow and grow to such extreme that this will
ultimately prove to everyone that there are bubbles, and then there's true Monetary Revolutions.

This is the Digital Crypto Monetary Revolution that will usher in the Post Industrial Age.
And knock the sails off those financial bankster pirates that have ruled for far too very long.

Until recently I didn't have any hope for the next decade concerning macro financial matters.
And not for the vast majority either concerning every financially topic.

But the Sun started shining again brightly just as soon as Bitcoin lead the way. And quickly many
others caught bitcoins draft. And now here we all are. Right on the cusp of a wonderful thing. It's
called Making Great History!

LTC is apt to be 15% to 25% the value of Bitcoin in a years time. Closer than what it is today at
about 3.5%. Or maybe it keeps lagging if it can't get it's own act fully together! Or worse if it flops.

The big question is who surges the most?

I don't think many realize whom that might be!

Some believe Bitcoin with be the master of price surges. Maybe. Or maybe Not. But if it outruns
all competitor that may leave us all in quite a pickle should any critical thing(s) go wrong with
one horse crypto-monetary show!

Many are fixated on just a few issues, for various reasons. But not realizing that this is now the entire
populations decision. Their joining us, in mass droves, month after month until by this time next
year it's a whole different animal. Many are not rational, nor logical. It's just the way some are!

Most don't appear to being doing the required research into various issues. Or at least not nearly
enough to know what's better and worse. And that will go triple for the hordes of masses soon to join.
Getting the message out of why this crypto or that one should be their favorite will prove to be key.

Many of the masses will grab merely a nice sounding name thinking that's all that is required, and
that their all about the same! Toss in a few other monkey wrench's and well it's anyone's guess who
is in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or maybe even in 1st place in a years time!

Billions will be made in 2014 by just Crypto related businesses. Not counting how far the valuations
surge upwards and turn this sector into a multi-hundred billion dollar monetary revolution in just the
next year. And that is just the beginning if only not too many governments interfere too much. And
the banksters can be held in check long enough to reach critical mass.

Decentralized Power. Decentralized Control. Decentralization across the board.

Decentralization is why almost all of us are here.

And why the People's in mass will soon adopt their favorite Crypto-Currency types no matter where
on earth they happen to live.

Even though Bitcoin has a major lead and many things going for it this is merely the first lap of a
long endurance race.  Until then some wild and crazy speculation is almost sure to breath life in to
dozens of different crypto types. Not to mention everyone loves a bargain!

LTC - will likely be over $150 in a year, unless it somehow flames out, or can't get it together and focus
on marketing it much like the folks at Bitcoin made Bitcoin what it is today. Same for all the various types.
And hence why I spread out my wagers far and wide. But with heavy weighting towards what I consider
the best contenders. And exactly why I am writing this reply. To send what I believe is a vital series of
messages which of course I believe are very important for everyone in this monetary revolution, and so
it will fully take root, and blossom to it's best potential.

The key is DECENTRALIZATION.

While BTC prices already hit 3 - 4 digits and probably hard to predict, LTC seems to be an interesting beast to watch.
What's your prediction of LTC price a year from now?
