Had one, sold low. Had another, lost it. Had yet another, lost it. Bought yet yet another, burned a hole in my wallet and spent most of it.

Now I'm down to under 0.2 because I never learned to HODL properly.

If you don't have any/much Bitcoin, do yourself a favor and save at least half of whatever you get.

So there are 24 people who claim they have more than 1000000 BTC each for a total well over 21000000 BTC  Roll Eyes

The poll is anonymous. That won't be stopping multiple Satoshis though.

these polls will always be inaccurate as people tend to troll them or wouldn't like to disclose the real amount of coins they own.

You're not going to get a representative response with that kind of question, people with a lot of bitcoins generally don't want people knowing that they do. A rough guide is: the longer someone's been active on the forum the more likely it is they picked up > 1000 when they were < $10. Unless they sold them all at $5 and are still whining about it. Some people also put bitcoin addresses in their footer, so you can go and look up what they're worth on the blockchain, or at least, what that address is worth.

That's assuming that our donation address is our only address...

Granted, this isn't meant to be very representative, but there does appear to be a bimodal (trimodal?) distribution, perhaps reflecting early-adopters happy with holding more than 50 but with newbies hesitant to invest more than ~30 at current prices.  It's impossible to know people's entry points and initial investments, but I'm guessing this likely reflects entry points correlated with the major bubbles and news cycle.

I'm curious if people have been willing to stake more, in absolute terms, as the price has increased over time.  In other words, were median early-adopters willing to shell out the equivalent of a several hundred bucks back in single digit days vs newbies being willing to shell out several grand at today's prices?
