I don't think we are seeing the end of Bitcoin, spite of all the scams, bad press, FUD, environmental concerns and regulations; the Bitcoin and crypto ecosystem have gain some advantages in comparison to previous years.

The adoption is increasing, slowly, but it is increasing. There is a lot of liquidity and exchange services which makes it easy to get in and out of the market, the technology and awareness about Bitcoin has also not stopped.

In my personal opinion, Bitcoin used to be more vulnerable in the early days, when It was very unknown and almost completely stigmatized because its usage within cybercrime, and of course the low hash rate; in the beginning Bitcoin was easier to outlaw and attack, but people in wallstreet and the US government disregarded Bitcoin as a fake-money project by nerds on internet which was not worth of attention.

We are still in the first phase and it will be continuing for future. Bitcoin is growing day by day and many people from all over the world are joining with it. Then why it will be end? We are in the digital age and it is not a good idea to think without digital currency. Blockchain technology will help to make our life easier. I hope we will be able to see new ATH within 1 year again.
People that are expecting bitcoin to end soon are people that have not known the importance of Bitcoin and the future of finance. Maybe they are seeing bitcoin as one of the reinvented ponzi schemes, perhaps a bubble that will bust any moment.
To be very fair, bitcoin has passed the level of anyone expecting it to end any moment. Bitcoin is more than a decade old and this is a clear finance future.

I acknowledge that the Bitcoin we see today might not be the Bitcoin we will see tomorrow, there could be changes but it remains bitcoin and will continue to run on blockchain.

he big dream could be to have a world of automation, where everything is programmed and payments are made without reversal or confirmation by any human.
There's no certain if we do talk about future but existing and been mainly supported for a decade time do already shows a solid proof that it does have a bright future and as long the community would really be
mainly considering and supporting it then it cant really be denied that it would be still existing on future generations to come.We dont know on how long but at least we do know
on what we are dealing with.Speaking about ending or making up conclusions then this is something i dont really prefer on doing so.
Market is truly unpredictable and there's no man could ever tell on when it would be its end or when it would really be skyrocketing when it comes into its price.

This question is best asked when, and only when, Bitcoin price drops to zero. Until that happens, there is no reason to ask. The answer, however, is simple: Bitcoin will never go to zero. In order for that to happen, there would need to be literally no one left with any interest in using Bitcoin. Now, is that really likely? Even if the entire world were against Bitcoin (including every government, business and organization), it would not make much of a difference - there are plenty of folks out there who would still use it, which would drive its value (even if slightly) and ensure its survival. So fear not the death of Bitcoin, like many before it, it is here to stay.

Very well-said, the question is not relevant in today's situation.
This is why, it is understandable that no one answered yes from the OP's poll.
I don't know why some insist on asking this type of question towards btc or crypto,
when in fact, they already know the answer. We have been more than a decade in this market,
now is not the time to doubt the existence of btc or crypto or think about its doomsday.
Why not look at the brighter side and use this opportunity to advance your interest on this industry?

Is this the end? Is bitcoin dead?

Why would it be? There's nothing wrong with it. It's something wrong with the world.
Don't think people will be investing when there's war and Russians could cause another nuclear disaster like the one in Chernobyl.

Bitcoin is as strong as ever.

Bitcoin with a trading volume of 26,128,439,654 dollars can not be said to be doing any time soon, as Bitcoin has faced so many attacks from regulators and individuals who hate Bitcoin, and even though Bitcoin have been subject of attacks from environmental crisis such as the covid 19 and climate change.

Bitcoin will always become stronger at whatever level whether at its all time level or the lowest of the bottom, let's allow the network to develop and this is the original Satoshi view and aspiration for Bitcoin, Satoshi have it that all the external factors should be sustained and Bitcoin network getting adapted to it as time goes on.

Bitcoin and Blockchain technology opens the door to many other things
Bitcoin is a powerful tool and new technology that can give you financial freedom in many different ways, Even if you think the opposite it serves no purpose.
And grouping the future of Bitcoin with unscrupulous shitcoin scams is ridiculous.
We need Bitcoin much more than Bitcoin needs us.

You have to educate yourself about Bitcoin and need to understand it better

What a nice survey, 47 votes for "no", 0 for "yes" and 0 for "unsure". The forum might be a bit biased, but why would anybody really say that crypto currencies are dead? The bitcoin price right now is at 19,858 USD. If cryptos were anywhere close to dying or already dead than the price should be below 1 USD. And this is not going to happen anytime soon. The world is still full of people who are believing in cryptos and would happily start buying bitcoins if the drop anywhere close to 1,000 USD. I am sure that we are not going to see the end of crypto currencies in general or bitcoin in particular during our lifetime. Even if 99% of the world population is not interested in cryptos anymore, as long as there is 1% who uses cryptos it won't be dead.
Why do you think that the forum is a bit biased? I am guessing you voted no too otherwise the poll would have been different from the current result and also confirmed by your further comments. But why would anyone even think that? we have seen bear markets before and what happened afterward and I believe that this is not going to be different however long it might take.

The forum is not as biased as I imagined it would be, this poll may look like it is not fair, but the reality is that there are a lot of people who think that bitcoin and other cryptos are not doing so well and may not do so well in the future either. However, even they know that "doing badly" is not dead, because that means it should be zero, so bear market people are still thinking that bitcoin will do fine and I do believe the same thing but on the bull scale.

I believe not only it is not dead but it is going to be a huge price when the time comes, all we have to do is wait. So, it doesn't matter if you think it is going to do badly or very well, you do not think it is going to be zero.

Just the poll result is enough to end the thread, because for what is being asked the result is already a known fact. Now this have once again proved how people believe in Bitcoin/cryptocurrency. The poll states there is no person to accept it is the end of Bitcoin/cryptocurrency. It is not the days as the past, people are well aware and they have the better understanding which keeps them strong.

Why should take this pool if actually we have known the result? Whatever the condition, I am sure that crypto will not end like this. Although there are many FUD that are always given to the crypto industry, none can stop the progress, development, and also existence of cryptocurrency. We cannot deny that some cryptocurrencies may be ended or dead, but that doesn't mean that it is all crypto. Only those shit cryptos will be dead soon because they cannot survive in the market and because they are not worthy.
So, it is better to focus on how we can utilize every market situation right now, by eanring money from crypto althoguh in the bearish market, although there are still many FUD. because crypto will be right here always

So we have seen Cryptocurrency hit with many huge scams, come under increased scrutiny and regulation, as well as being the subject of environmental concerns.
Although crypto has experienced and has so many higher scams, being critiqued by many people, limited by the regulations, and much more FUD spreading, this will never stop the existence of crypto. The Crypto industry has been experiencing these all for longer time ago, but in fact, crypto still survives right now. However, it is also developing more than we expect. That is why I really doubt that crypto will end only because of those FUDs and negativity.

You're right. I've read that recently China is warming up to Bitcoin. It used to impose new bans since 2014 with first a ban for banks, then an exchange ban, then finally a mining ban, but now it's going to allow it to be exchanged and traded. If the news are true it's great for BTC.

China is always changing, even we may find some negative news from China, then we wil met the psitive issues again. ANd I think that this will be continuing. BTw, we also know that China 's problems with crypto have been hapening previously and this also always gives infleunce tot he cryptomarket. But, they cannot still stop the crypto industry.

Maybe this year Bitcoin market condition is very bad but those who know well about crypto currency will never be disappointed. Because every time Bitcoin goes down, it gets up and gets stronger.

Bitcoin lost some of it's price because of the USD pump, but so did gold and other stocks and assets priced in USD. It's really nothing unexpected.

I am 52nd that voted No bitcoin had experienced worst scenario of price dump but later recovered, notable among the price drop was in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic when it price dropped to $3900 that does not signified the end of bitcoin against all odds the price recovered and an attained a new ATH, though the market might had been bearish for quite some time now, even with the present price of $19906 it's quite a reasonable price as long as it doesn't fall to $1 bitcoin is very much alive, Moreso the coin is being traded on daily basis with the highest volume traded in all the exchanges because of it high volatility this is enough to keep the coin in the market.

You're in a forum named after Bitcoin. Would you expect people to be against it? Certainly, OP's statement is quite bold to agree with. I would be surprised if someone here believed that cryptocurrencies are about to die. Personally, I'd agree if you told me that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies would go through a tough time for the next 1-2 or even 3 years, but would they die completely? Not a chance. Cryptocurrencies have evolved in the past few years, with a few countries now legalizing them as a means of payment. Even huge corporations such as Revolut or PayPal have integrated them into their services. PayPal, one of the largest payment processors, provides you with the ability to trade cryptocurrencies. It's a huge step towards digitalization and cryptocurrency adoption.

If you don't believe in Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin in general you might be thinking along the line that Bitcoin probably is coming to an end because it has -74.29% from its ATH to the lowest of about $17k, meanwhile, that was just about the same level of drop the market experienced from the dip of June 2019 to march 2020 of approx -72.66% and the last major bear market of 2017 to 2018 was approx -83.82%
All other concerns have always been around Bitcoin from scams, scrutinization, and regulations even the environmental issues, and those have never stopped Bitcoin on its track and still wouldn't.

Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency is here to stay. You see China had already banned the mining of BTC but so far they have not actually wiped them all out from China. Hash remains to have come from China still.

The issue was that mining affects the climate of course this has been proven to be just propaganda for Climate change advocates. Whoever gives rights to this mining council to dictate rules. Bitcoin will still exist and so is mining if they use renewable energy, I guess some are going to keep following the rules and lesser fees to energy bills. Bitcoin will still be here.

As time goes by, there are a lot of cryptocurrencies are popping up. For me, Bitcoin is already proven by the time, the first cryptocurrency ever made, and always on the number 1 top market cap. For me, Bitcoin will stay but other altcoins could be here temporary? We'll never know, because most of cryptocurrency that popping now are just here to take money from people.
That's the sad part though because it proves that innovation is dead. Every new coin we see coming out is just being created to make more money. Specially after introduction of token platforms that make scamming people easy. Without innovation, we are going to see bitcoin continue dominating the cryptocurrency world while thousands of shitcoins get short term pump an dumps.

I simply can't see why the current state of affairs could be the end for bitcoin. because if the reason is a declining trade and a falling price. then it can not be used as an excuse or even as a material consideration. because the decline is happening in all sectors. The purchasing power of the people is now decreasing in all fields. because of the economic crisis that hit, prolonged inflation and a looming recession. be the reason behind the decline in all sectors. but instead I appreciate bitcoin and cryptocurrencies where projects are still popping up, the community is still growing and that's a great thing.
So I chose to answer NO.

ehh wait, during this economic crisis there are those who continue to show an increase when depicted in a graph. namely the price of food and the price of fuel oil. when the economy becomes bearish both of these things are even bullish. very lucky those who hold both of these things. Roll Eyes

To think otherwise is to have no idea. Instead of thinking about the end of bitcoin right now, the smart thing to do is to think that it is cheap and take advantage of it to buy. In the next cycle, or 10 years from now, many people will look back and think that they wish they had bought at 20,000 USD. They are the same people who think bitcoin is going to end now.

If you look at the history of bitcoin that happened repeatedly when bitcoin was much cheaper.

I think bitcoin will be fine, because it has become commonplace in crypto (bitcoin) there is a decrease there is an increase so there is no need to worry about that, in fact this is a hallmark that the market is normal, you just wait for bitcoin to rise again and don't have to think about the end of bitcoin, it's better to learn and look for more useful information so that in the future it will be better.

Charts have shown that Bitcoin always recovers. While that doesn't guarantee its recovery in the future, it's good to know. Regarding the scams you mentioned, they have nothing to do with cryptocurrencies. Electronic scams take place where money can be made. They have existed since the dawn of the internet, but cryptocurrencies keep taking the blame for everything.
To be fair, as you correctly pointed out we're in a recession, and probably the biggest one of most of lives. Therefore, charts can't be relied on even more than normal. So, while Bitcoin historically has shown it always recovers, and lot of users have time periods that they can reference, and compare. It could be vastly different this time due to the recession.

Buying power obviously dips during a recession since people are struggling to live, let alone put their money into a developing currency which is extremely volatile when you compare it with traditional currencies.

So, in the same light; Bitcoin isn't the only thing that's going to see an extended decline, but also stocks, and other investments.
It certainly looks like it's going to be way worse than the recession we experienced through 2008-2010. That doesn't look appealing. Certainly, you can't rely on historical data and hope it's repeated. The macroeconomic environment is rapidly shifting, and the situation now is a lot different than the one two or more years ago (Covid-19, War in Ukraine, etc.). Our purchasing power has severely decreased due to the increased living costs. Groceries, fuel, and electricity have all skyrocketed. It's perfectly normal that investments come second.

All investments have been affected. A decent example is the S&P 500 index. It's been showing steady growth since 1975 (that's the earliest I could find in charts) but is now experiencing major losses, similar to Bitcoin.

I don't want to argue and tell a lot because actually we all know that the price cycle will go up and down regardless of extreme or not. How long have you neem in the crypto industry?
After several times of the bearish era, with many extreme drops, with so many FUD so far, do you ever find that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency ended and over?
No, even though there are so many FUD that is always spreading during the time, in fact, they cannot make Bitcoin dead. This bearish era with so many drops in all aspects doesn't mean that this is the need of the era. This is only [art of how Bitcoin and crypto, in general, is having. So, no need to worry much about the current situatio.
But if you are talking about so many scam projects and shit coins, they may not also end. exceptt for shit coins that have no value, they may end.

It's always like every year that whenever the market isn't good enough, there would be questions like this. But for me, right now this is a valid one because we're facing recession and inflation and it isn't bitcoin and the crypto market that facing such. Too big of a factor to think if the market will really survive. Well, it will recover no matter what it faces, and I just lean toward the fact that anything that goes down will bounce back and go up again. IMO bitcoin is still the best asset for my taste, a safe haven, and people shall see that it's still the best way to hedge against inflation.

Scams? What exactly are you talking about? If you're referring to altcoins, it's expected because anyone can launch their own token. The economy is going through a period of recession on a global scale. You can't expect cryptocurrencies or Bitcoin to be performing at their best. If we're patient enough, we're not going to regret it.

Let's not forget how many pyramid schemes are out there, scamming millions of dollars with little to no action taken against them. Yet, there are people focusing on some random token that rug-pulled and scammed its users.

You should be prepared for scary sell-offs in the crypto world. The price volatility is amazingly high and can make you dizzy. Most important thing is not to panic, keep your wits about you and step away from the keyboard. Just hodl. Really, thats the best advice anyone can give you.
To be fair, the price volatility catches out even the longer term holders. It really does depend  what your goals are when you invested. If you've over invested, and are counting on it going up, then of course you're going to feel the pinch in times like these.

However, a lot of users have simply started using Bitcoin due to the freedom it provides, and mainly because they're sick, and tired with a society that is highly dependant on banks. I'm not even going to get started on how dodgy banks are, yet we still use them. Literally, in their terms of service, they tell you they basically use your money to earn more money.

Pretty much it's the same, every thing in this world has good side and bad side on every aspect you can find. When you find something good, there will be always some bad people out there to ruin the fun for you. Does that means it will be the end of that? Absolutely not, the community is still strong and it only portions of those are bad, while the rest are some good individuals to make the community stronger.

Thinking of everything could end because of some scammers and some regulations are pretty much a bad mindset IMO.

In my own opinion you don't have any solid point to why you even think it's the end of Bitcoin, and ignorance isn't an excuse here because you can always do your own research. This won't be the worse situation Bitcoin has found it self in fact it's not even close, and still that didn't bring an end to bitcoin.

Have we now ran out of topics for this sort of topic to be a thing? When they say crypto-currency is volatile this is Exactly what it means, the price would always fluctuate and this shouldn't cause a post about bitcoin dead or not during Market price fall.

I have to say, I am quite proud of you guys. Not a single answer other than a big "NO". I think that perhaps the OP is a bit new at cryptocurrency, despite his aged account and might be feeling very nervous due to the current dip, aka "correction". So I do hope that the poll provided you some relief, after seeing how strong our assurance is about Bitcoin and generally, most cryptocurrency. Although personally, I would leave out the cryptocurrency part and just go for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a sure thing, every other crypto... Not so much.

You should be prepared for scary sell-offs in the crypto world. The price volatility is amazingly high and can make you dizzy. Most important thing is not to panic, keep your wits about you and step away from the keyboard. Just hodl. Really, thats the best advice anyone can give you.

Just remind yourself that this question literally gets asked after every drop, and not just every so often. Literally, every time I see certain people, they mention that Bitcoin has finally burst. It's been a running gag for like five years now.

No    - 34 (100%)
The only thing I'm surprised by is the lack of trolling in the votes, but realistically asking this sort of question in a Bitcoin oriented forum is generally going to come to the same conclusion. If you asked it in Reddit, you'd likely get slightly different viewpoints, but Bitcointalk is sort of more attractive to long term Bitcoin users, and therefore the votes are going to reflect that. I guess what I'm trying to say is Bitcointalk isn't the most accessible due to all the restrictions we have, so generally those that vote are going to be a little more likely to be veterans, and therefore Bitcoin believers.

So we have seen Cryptocurrency hit with many huge scams, come under increased scrutiny and regulation, as well as being the subject of environmental concerns.

As of late, Bitcoin is trading at the lowest levels I've seen it trade in quite some time.

So I made this poll to gage the latest opinions of the users here.

The question is, due to any of these issues, or a combination of them, are we finally going to see the end of Bitcoin and

Do you think that these are the lowest bitcoin levels at which bitcoin is trading right now? If so, then you are wrong because bitcoin can dump even lower and still recover back up. So there is no point thinking that because bitcoin price is dumping too much, it is near the end of crypto market.
Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency will never end and also in your poll 100% votes are for bitcoin is here to stay. (35 votes cast now in favor of bitcoin till now)

That sums it up. Love how the poll has turned out.

I'd also like to quote OP on this:

I'd like to return to this next year and see OP's reaction.
Bitcoin is at its ATH from the previous cycle. It's a level people in 2018 and 2020 were dreaming of, but couldn't get bitcoin to reach it for more than 2 years. Now we're below the last ATH for only a year and we already see people complaining that the price is low. Wake up OP, the dollar is at its all time high and everything including gold is down because of it, but its real value has not changed.

If you ask me that question,  it will always be no . Because scams are more or less in all sectors.  Especially if you are talking about money laundering, it is our misconception that cryptocurrency is only involved in it. In fact, as far as money laundering is concerned, the use of cryptocurrency is negligible and most of it is fiat currency. We should remove our misconceptions that have been instilled in us through the media.

It is true that scamming through cryptocurrency has taken one of the big market now . However, while crypto currency scamming is in the second, the first is through fiat currency. So the hole system cannot be bad for scamed committed by us. And here there is no question of the end of Bitcoin, its use and need will increase as time goes by.

Bitcoin has existed since 09, loads of scammers & bad actors have been in this space in that time (no more than fiat equivalents). To answer the question, no, it is not the end for bitcoin/crypto. Year by year there is more adoption & mainstream use, bitcoin goes from strength to strength. I think this OP sums up many clueless noobs we have hanging around here.

Seems you are new to cryptocurrency. Scams are everywhere, you can't avoid to see it so just be knowledgeable about what you are doing. I believe that regulation is good for cryptocurrency since it will increase on it's adoption. I've seen so many bitcoin is dead headlines and this kind of headline mostly show during the market downfall where almost everyone are getting smashed by the market. There are more environmental concerns aside from crypto mining and surprise until now those concerns aren't resolved and even if mining stop, The crypto market won't be stopped.

The amazing thing is, we are all saying "no" and that is a wonderful thing, having this much trust into something and that is a great deal. If just one person said yes or unsure so far, then I would have said that at least there are some people with uncertain thoughts about it but we have reached 25+ without a single unsure or yes, and that is the great thing.

Let's see when it will get better, we have been down for a while and unfortunately that is a sad thing, but aside from that I feel like there is a good case to be made about what is going on. Cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin have faced many difficult times and current situation must be just another one; we can expect a new ATH by end of 2024, get ready for that by making use of currently available dips and future dips if happen.
I believe right now is not the end for bitcoin and cryptocurrency how ever price going drop and I think still have light era with bitcoin going back again to higher price. I think if some one have been in bitcoin for several years ago he know well when China make bitcoin as restrict digital payment currency, when China announcement about bitcoin banned as legal transaction and all mining project close there bitcoin drop drastically, but what happen few years later and bitcoin success reach all time high price. I think there are not any reason to said end or bitcoin era, actually bitcoin still as potential investment assets and become most effective payment currency at the future than using other kinds of digital currency for transaction.

It is not uncommon that in this Bitcoin forum, the answer of 100% of the votes is no. I would have expected some troll like proudhon voting yes.

It is clear that bear markets like this have been and will continue to be, it is natural to the markets. In the case of Bitcoin, I think many of us are a bit disappointed with what the price has done this cycle, but Bitcoin is the best thing anyone who cares about their finances can have.

In terms of cryptocurrency, what happens in these bear markets is that a lot of the fancy shitcoins in fashion end up going way down or even disappearing. It's better make a sure bet on Bitcoin.
Come to think that it wont really be called a market if we wont really be seeing bear markets which people doesnt really like to see or able to experience without even realizing that this had been a part

and we do need this for further progress and overall adoption and recognition because we cant really just have that one path which is going up because it wont be called a market in the first place.

Its not surprising that we would really be that reacting that much and does have those kind of impressions whenever the price dips but on the time you do already
aware on how this market behaves or moves then you would just simply ignore and would really get used to it.

I do not think so. Despite its price being significantly reduced compared past year, this is nothing but a natural consequence because of its innate nature and origin. Remember, check the price history index of BTC and you would see that its volatility is responsible on why its price is relatively low on the market.

Remember also that there are countries who are starting to adapt BTC as a form of legal tender. Not to mention, more and more countries also have started to integrate it into their finances and education system. The governments now see its potential use and long-term advantage to the economy.

Just to reiterate, regardless of its price being low, that does not equate that this would be the end of Bitcoin let alone all the cryptocurrencies present in the market.

This kind of fraud and some other bad stuff also happens with the fiat and as we can see, they are still there and people don't really pay attention to it because they already know what the real problem is and that is not the fiat, the people who used it as props to perform their fraud and scams. People are confused in the early stage of the crypto industry when there is a scamming incident they thought the bitcoin itself is the culprit but now they already know the truth and they will just gonna ignore it if the same news will pop up because bitcoins have nothing to do with it. It's just being used as well.

23 users voted in this poll so far.

Every single one of them voted "No". Because they know that cryptocurrencies have a long future.

That's because you can't just say, "My currency has been invaded by thugs", that's how all coins are.

And whatever happened to Three Arrows Capital is not relevant to decentralized cryptos. Because their very nature prevents them from going down if any single entity crashes.

Just last month I received multiple emails from this platform called Vauld, that filed for bankruptcy - they apparently are insolvent (I don't remember how the hell I signed up for Vauld, but I never used it). Their reason? "UST collapsed, we had too much UST, 3AC and Celsius also collapsed, and we loaned too much money that we can't recall." Huh

Problems are inevitable in any environments. The point to notice is that crypto enthusiasts are dealing very well with issues and challenges. If someone told me the end of bitcoin was between 2017-2018, following the crash and the bearish market I would accept that as a real possibility, but now I just can't, because the scenario looks much better than before, despite the fact we are in a bearish market again.

The points that you are bringing are nothing really new since there are scammers everywhere, not only in this market, so as long as you're careful you are not going to have much problems with scammers, the scrutiny of the governments has always been there, even in the early days Satoshi knew this was coming which was why he remained anonymous, and the environmental concerns are nothing but a smokescreen.

And about the low price that we are seeing for bitcoin, the low price is relative, while it is true the current price is lower than the all time high, it is many times higher than the price we have seen for bitcoin during most of its history, so I do not really see what is the problem, so as you may guess I do not think that bitcoin is nowhere near its end.

There is one answer to the question in my opinion, no, this is not the end of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, bitcoin is still a safe haven for now, at least in the near future, the decline in the price of bitcoin is never an indication of the end, there are reasons, of course, but it is not the end, there are many problems and reasons that led to the decline of Bitcoin and this is normal within the pattern of market cycles, I am optimistic that Bitcoin will return again and we will see strong rises in the near future.

Cryptocurrencies have been hit with "many huge scams" since the beginning. I guess you forgot about all those ICO scams. At least more scrutiny and regulations means more business will be able to accept crypto currencies more easily with clear laws (though bad for decentralization, but as long as you don't interact with fiat or third party financial institutions, you should be fine).

By that time none thought the bitcoin is towards its end. Now without any reason why this thoughts were arising. People need to educate themselves.

This is why it is understandable if the poll has just only one answer, No. Even if we experienced a lot of ups and downs in this market, I don't think we will see the end of this market. The truth is, we are just starting to engage some newcomers as before crypto has a lot of negative connotations attach to it. The problems you stated above:
1. Huge scams : It already happened since many years ago, but it never made Bitcoin or crypto to be over.
2. Increased security and regulation : Note that the security or regulation isn't intended to limit the activity of crypto investment or trading. It only facilitates people to be more secure in investment or trading.
3. environmental concerns : Do you mean it is related to mining activity? Not everyone agrees about this, it is just a perception of some people. Even if mining is stopped, it doesn't mean stopping crypto world as well.

Regarding the current drop in price, you must know we are in the bearish phase. So, it is normal if the price continues to decrease.

I think there's probably an option between safe haven and the end of Bitcoin.  It's a speculative asset and we're heading into a recession, so there's definitely a good chance it doesn't hold it's value.  That being said, it's an innovative product with a lot of money on the sidelines waiting to get in.  Wall Street is looking at a potential new asset class they can manage for investors and licking their chops at the management fees.  I don't think they'll let their cash cow die before they start milking it.

I don't think any such thing is going to happen. Bitcoin since its inception has seen a lot of scams, a lot of regulations & scrutiny. It has even seen levels much lower than the current levels. Remember we went to almost 3k in March 2020. So this level at which it currently hovers is definitely much higher than that level for sure. I think regulations might come and it could change the way in which bitcoin operates and the way in which people perceive bitcoin but it will not hamper the very existence of bitcoin for sure. Cryptocurrency is imminent now be it bitcoin or any other coin.

I don't see any indicators that this would be the end of crypto. Even if it is the end of a certain cryptocurency, it wouldn't be the end of crypto as a whole, just the end of crypto as we know it. Crypto can adapt and evolve, and it will have to in order to stay relevant. And even if it falls to it's lowest, it will still be something of interest for enthusiasts.
