So one site is using exclusively litecoins, and another bitcoins? Why does it matter, and what if tomorrow we have anothercoins, or metoocoins?

Hello all.
Atlantis has announced in their site that it has been approched by Silk Road to be bought for 9000 Bitcoins!
I think this is the reason LTC is rocketing?I wonder if the info is legit once i dont see any announcment in Silk Road.

if so lets just hope silk road integrate ltc...

any thoughts on that matter?

i'm sure it would expand business for them using ltc.

also buying up atlantis would be good advertising

Interesting theory, one problem, why would I choose Atlantis over SR ?

Why would ASIC be a threat ? it's the opposite, and anyway litecoin are mined 30x faster on a GPU.

OP is refering to a type of malware that people can produce and mass infect people, where it simply mines stealthily for you. A lot of people who will get infected don't have GPUs or have really bad ones, so what OP is saying is that everyone will have a CPU and 100 infected people (which isn't even that much in malware terms) can easily start producing enough litecoins for profit.

Food for thought,

If Atlantis were to grab a significant marketshare from SR, I believe that would spark other clones to come into existence. Buyers would then need to go on the market to buy LTC for their orders which in turn would increase the price of Litecoin. Since Litecoin can be efficiently mined with consumer-grade hardware, zombie machines become profitable again. ASIC miners would no longer be threat to their survival.

Sounds like the beginning of a new booming business!
