I hear the messages .. for years from you all.
But you never give a good tangible real reason WHY this will happen.

All i ever hear is some huge crowd of new users is coming... soon. (it's said every year)
When they do.. boy look out! MOON !!!!!111111
All coins will go up 10,000% etc.

WHY do they say ? ..because .."altcoins got swagger"  Cheesy
Sorry i don't mean to mock you guy but i am making a point here.

If you guys think no huge crowd is coming then can i ask what should we do to get them to come ?

I think all of this is transparent.
You all can not control what viewers think.
The people who "drive-by" this web site will come to their own conclusions.
Chance are they will not be able to understand your extreme levels of optimism.
In turn think you're just barking greedy self destructive shills.. killing the Alt scene for chump change.

Maybe it is too late for any hope for a healthy Altcoin scene though.
Maybe it's destined for permanent obscurity with no good coming of it all.
And a perpetually dwindling greedy and ever increasingly corrupt user base ?

HODLing is an art, not just a word...
i think it can happen another time this year, i agree with ashapasa on the part that bitcoin will rise in price so it brings a lot of publicity to itself so a lot of new people (a new wave) will come to it. and a lot of those people will also find out about altcoins and trading them so altcoin scene can see another big uprising again.

i think it's very possible.

the alt scene is just as much of a shithole as ever, but it's got some swagger now and it's pretty dynamic.

the alt that really blows the roof off is something that throws away all the usual crypto stuff that no one else gives a fuck about and embraces populism aka free money.

steemit is a prime example but i don't have a clue how that's supposed to work or if it'll last beyond the end of the week, but let's imagine if something like pokemon go was somehow monetized.

Silly i think.. you gave almost no reason.. swagger ? LOL

That is like William Murderface saying.. "It need's ZAZZ"

steemit is also no good example for a digital currency (or much else)

Further more when i started there was around 50 coins made on Earth (many never posted here)
Now ?
- 6,000 ANN topics
- 2,300 users logged in here per 24 hours
- 1 million forum accounts.
- Infinite scams busted and victims of fraud (why the SEC issued a fraud investor warning)

So it is in NO way like it was back then in 2013.. saying so is simply retarded.
Centralized exchanges have screwed us over for a billion dollars by my estimates.
After the crowd came late 2013 Gox went down then Mintpal + Cryptsy and all kinds of others.

Do you guys REALLY believe the optimistic shit you post or are you just bullshitting because your bag-holding and desperate to try and be a hang'er on and profit from Crypto'z in 2016 ?

And no just because the BTC price went up a bit before the halving does not mean a new rush of users is coming.
Or ANY *new* users for that matter.. Notice the stats i posted above ? What does that tell you ?

i voted yes, simple because to me that's already happening.
bitcoin price is increasing again and with that new investors are showing up.

that definitely will reflect in altcoins.

btc will once again get major news coverage once it reaches the $1000 valuation, leading to new users for crypto currency. This could benefit the entire crypto industry.

I don't think all alternative currencies will fail in the long run, a few with innovative features are bound to succeed and might even surpass Bitcoin.

Hmm the first part seems more plausible to me than the 2nd part of your comment i think..

I would wonder WHY is BTC going to explode in popularity in a huge way ?
It's been 7 years.. what is it we are waiting for ?

I think guys in the Altcoin "scene" are very optimistic.. (when they often shouldn't be)
Check out this link.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimism_bias

I really think the explosion of mass ICO's has helped stain the crypto scene.. even more.
Combined with countless centralized exchanges crying they were hacked etc ..we have a black eye !
Let's be real people, that black eye will not heal.. ever !

Do you all think you have a balanced and realistic / grounded perspective on the Altcoin situation ?

Next as in.. like the big wave of new users we seen in late 2013.

Vote YES if you think THAT will repeat.

I am not too concerned with the projected time frame just curious what you all think.

I have my own opinion of course but feel free to post your own people.
The idea here is not to argue ..which might happen anyway LOL
I'd like to see the Poll stats myself..

My summarized opinion is..
I highly doubt it and vote NO.
I base that on the history of the Altcoin scene and the context of our situation.
But..
It is possible our situation could change in the "Altcoin Scene"
I just think it would have to change a lot and it would also take a lot of time too.

So..
What do you all see ?
What is your prediction.

You are all welcome to post what ever views you support.. i will try not to FUD you people too badly Wink
