Would these mean the wallets would combine or just the mining efforts?

just mining efforts, all it does is help protect the network from a 51% attack. Makes sense for some coins but not doge or litecoin I don't think.

I don't think you understand how merged mining works if you think it has to be paired with a specific coin. Either that or you're just name dropping LTC to look better

Ah merge of PoW is much more meaningful than saying "we are friends" , "come over for a pajama party".

Catcoin is doing much better than i thought.

Merge mining scrypt coins is the way to go. Its a win win scenario for both miner and the network security of the coin. The future of scrypt is merge mining with scrypt asics.

[Poll] should Litecoin merge with Dogecoin; Charlie Lee says yes.

From /r/Bitcoin[–]coblee 9 points 19 hours ago (9|0)I have actually suggested this to Jackson Palmer and he seemed intrigued by the idea. We'll see if he agrees. Litecoin and Dogecoin merged mined would be beneficial to both coins.I've known pretty much since before I created Litecoin that in order to survive, you can't compete with Bitcoin for miners. So you'd need to be mined on a different class of hardware. I believe this fact will be pretty clear when ASICs for Scrypt becomes widely available.http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/22aw8c/most_altcoins_are_not_secure_enough_they_exist/cglaq3nReport to moderator
