Announcing MyEtherWallet v3.24.00: Difficulty Bomb&Updating blockchain

Due to the complexity of the Bomb and the increased risk of hacking, we pushed a rather drastic update that implements a number of changes and improvements, including enhancement of efficiency and scalability of the blockchain, acceleration of transaction speed, and additional security in the form new formats private keys which will help protect users against hacking.
If you are using private key or UTC, then you need to go into the wallet and update manually, otherwise they risk being unprotected.

How do i update my Ethereum wallet?

1. Go to our website MyEtherWallet.com
2. Unlock your wallet using your Keystore File (UTC / JSON) or simply use your private key.
3. Click Unlock and wait for the update.

Please note that you need to manually update your wallet, failure to do so may result in funds being lost.

We are taking these measures to protect both you and our network from phishing and malicious attacks.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
MyEtherWallet Security Team.

If you use other methods, then ignore this message.

Most of these options are a joke  Grin .For me , i'm trying to get any new money to buy more bitcoin or alts at these discount prices . unfortunately,i'm still stuck with several coins that i was too greedy to sell during past months and now regretting that . once market recover , i'll sell some alts and continue trading them against bitcoin to get more bitcoin .that's my ultimate goal in long term.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
There's no suitable option for me. I have some coins stashed. I would buy, but I don't have fiat money to do it. I'm planning to sit and wait this time because BTC is oversold already and I'm not going to get rid of my coins below 10k USD. I'm pretty sure that we'll get above that within 2 years, so I'm willing to wait and keep stashing coins that I earn from the campaign. Hopefully in a year I'll have 1 more BTC saved up.

Very extrnsive list, yet my choice is kind of combination of some of these.
I don't have strict strategy to buy or sell, I'm watching the market constantly and then I decide accordingly what to do.
Currently I prefere to hold.

I believe in trading not HODLing. Go Long! Go Short! based on market conditions.

Sell only to fund bitcoin startup ideas. More thoughtful and fun than day trading.

I am a merchant.  No interest in trading it as a commodity.  No interest in mining it.

To encourage buyers to forget about Gresham's Law, BTC users get a steep discount, fiat does not get a discount.  There might be a few on Ebay for fiat.

With the incentive to purchase with BTC, effectively, I'm a bitcoin only merchant.

My plan is to buy a few now, invest them in the bitcoin economy and hopefully use some of my new bitcoins (from returns on inveswtments) to buy some dollars to use for boring stuff like bills and taxes. I guess this fits under the "Buy now, sell later" category.

Same here, this is exactly what I plan on doing.

Not a trader. I mine and wait for the initial speculative turmoil to be over and prices to stabilize, then use it to trade goods and services with.
