When someone refuses to give back something that doesn't belong to them, that is stealing in my eyes.

They are shitty for holding onto your coins for so long but its too quick to jump to the conclusion that they have stolen your coins. It is far more likely they have to manually verify the transaction due to regulatory requirements.

That being said they are really slow at the moment and its a common problem, I suggest just keep emailing them until they fix it for you.

Might as well make my own thread.

My BTC has been stuck on Poloniex for more than 5 days. I have yet to hear a single word from support. Not only have they stolen my BTC, they're actively preventing me from making money.

The error message I get is "Awaiting Approval".

I recommend that anyone stay away from Poloniex and use other exchanges.

Ticket ID: 214464

How do you get from "awaiting approval" to "stolen"?  If I was an exchange and stealing from a client or customer I would think that I would mark an exchange as something other than that when stealing.  I might even mark it as denied and held for some issue.

You're Right somehow i think, Check your emails, present and past and check SPAM.  It will happen when they want it too. The most likely reason is that they are putting in suspect and trying to make sure that things are kosher before sending.  A big exchange is not going to steal your coins.

I have written e-mails and created tickets to no avail.

No, the Bitcoin network has got nothing to do with it. They have simply decided not to give me my BTC.

It's probably due to the slowdown of bitcoin network. I've had no problems depositing other alts (USDT/Ether), it's usually deposited within 20minutes.

They need to wait for deposit to arrive in temporary wallet, then make a second transfer to their own wallet. This means two successful transactions need to be made before funds can be ready. In either of those transfers, the transaction might have been stuck:

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Look at the number of unconfirmed transactions currently, your transfer might have been one of those that has been stuck. Each block takes about 1-2 hours to confirm, and there're only 2000 transactions per block.

50000 unconfirmed transactions would take days to clear.

I have a ticket (number 214464), but nobody is responding.

It's been more than a week now. This is just outrageous.

They do reply, just that sometime it take weeks...

This is due to the user base tripling over the few months.
