Assuming that all the things you are posting here are true, this is not a good sign for Poloniex and I think there is really a big problem on their side that must be addressed as soon as possible. I would not wonder if soon they would experience migration of their clients to other exchange. Poloniex has already a good following and in fact many of my friends are using Poloniex. All of these are happening at the same time that the site is kept on fighting  many attacks.

I have read the same problems over and over about Poloniex. I have not used them because I do not trade with altcoins but that is a sign that the exchange might have scaling problems of its own. They have broken the record in terms of volume and the more traders use them the more the bugs and glitches appear. It would be a good decision to stay away from them and trade somewhere else.

If what's been quoted by the Op is true, then Poloniex should solve the issue at the earliest to have the reputation of their services. Every exchange website encounter such technical issues which gets solved in a short. But here this has taken more time and yet now Op haven't got any solution. In my view poloniex is a trusted platform for trading and lending services. Soon it will make everything perfect.

The same was said of MtGox years ago. There was also Roger Ver who vouched for the exchange and said that it was solvent. A few months later it was it was exposed as illiquid and cannot pay back their customers. I am not saying that Poloniex is insolvent but you should not always believe what they tell you. Keep your Bitcoins in a wallet you control.

"The stop-limit issue has been resolved. We're in the process of crediting stuck/missing balances that resulted from the issue."

I'd give it a bit and see if your coins are returned (I'm sure they will be).

I do not think so
I never have any problems
Support fast, site trusted
If you have problems with them because you are unfaithful to them or you are doing problems with them
It's a problem
We hope your issue is resolved
good luck to you

wow so poloniex cant be trusted? I thought it was the biggest altcoin exchanger. so where are we going to trade now? bittrex? what other sites are good?
there are some trusted exchange sites such as yobit, and ccex. Both is really enough for every one in here.  Cool a lot of the major sites are turned to the shady site.
If YoBit is looking like a trustworthy site then we're really venturing into unknown territories of shadiness right now.

Ideally, use Bittrex.  If you've done due diligence on another exchange it might be acceptable but I can't think of many good ones off the top of my head.

Poloniex have big issues in almost 1 month, I see when the Stellar market down a couple day ago, no one can execute to buy or sell and STR price falling down to 1400 satoshi, and I think they still not fix the issues, this issues will happen again and for Poloniex trader better to prevent the worst thing in future from Poloniex.

The other day, I was trading burst coins. I got in on the way and I had some nasty profit. I sold my burst coins for a large % profit but all of a sudden I look and ALL MY BTC IS GONE! And all burst coins are gone! So I open a ticket, my trade history shows no sale of my burst coins. I wait 48 hours for support to respond... They never respond but 48 hours after they disappeared, some coins return. But not the BTC that I should have had from my burst coin sale, no, they returned me all the burst coins which are worth 70% of what I sold them for. Not to mention, I sold had a limit sell order for the peak of burst coins, I had it set to sell if it went below 960 sat. It never fired and I lost 20% on that also. In the last 7 days, Poloniex has stolen nearly 50% of my bank roll from me, all the while I am making really good trades and doubled my bankroll is less than 2 weeks.
