I was able to withdraw again. One more withdrawal and I'm completely done at Poloniex. I can't wait! This has been a nightmare.

I just withdrew a little under my daily amount yesterday, so had a small amount that I would have been about to withdraw. I think it was $27 or so. Now that I went to see if it's reset, it's actually at 0.

Does anyone know what this means? I'd really rather not open a ticket and wait a few months to figure out how to get my money out. Maybe because the price of bitcoins went up overnight? Idk. This is really strange either way. Glad I've almost cleared out my account.

If your new year's resolution wasn't to get everything out of exchanges, it should be. Hold your own bitcoins in your own private keys. Only keep a balance on an exchange when you're exchanging.

For the future, I'd suggest a DEX such as NVO. Full disclosure, I'm an investor. This only makes me want to invest more into DEXs.

I had problems with withdrawal on poloniex last year as well and the problem was only solved recently. I'm not sure if it's just me but they actually replied to my ticket and resolved my problem within 2 days. Before that, i was just waiting like you for a miracle to happen.

Hopefully, it's got nothing to do with legacy accounts being limited to 0. I remember that they came out that announcement recently, but they said they will follow up with further announcements in January and give ample time before doing anything.

What you should do: Contact support first, then see if it's a technical glitch that fixes itself within a few days. Enable 2fa, stop using vpn when you're using poloniex, etc. if you haven't already.

Thankfully it's not a big amount it seems.

Yeah I was just looking to exchange something and ended up getting my funds stuck on here for days. It's a huge pain but hopefully I can get everything out and just stick with DEXs in the future.

For what it's worth, this may just be a technical glitch or something because now I see that I can withdraw $1.77. Maybe that'll be increasing as time goes on. I think the way they're calculating the 24h limit is messed up with the increase of bitcoin's price over the past few days. We'll see how this plays out.

Edit: and with a refresh I'm back to 0. This isn't looking good.

Yes, very good. I love it when people share the good stuff. This is exactly what I've been parroting about all this time. Store your coins in a wallet you and you alone have access to. A safe wallet is when you and you alone have absolute control of the private keys. A "joint" bitcoin account, one someone else has access to, is never a safe wallet.

Anything offline is off limits to thieves and fraudsters. A securely prepared offline (paper) wallet is the best cold storage wallet. Use a dedicated device to upload and offload coins into/from that wallet. Duplicate that wallet and store those duplicates securely.

Clearing out your account was the best route you took. I mean it's good to make money on exchanges too but some if not all of them are very unpredictable and prone to extreme risks. There are stories here of people with locked millions. Waiting... and still waiting. What else can they do? They cannot possibly guess the private keys held by the exchange.
