so do you plan on paying out these last 3 days?
Or should we just shut the miners down right now?

Yes, of course. So that everybody have enough time to switch. But I'd rather that you move to some other pool. Thanks

Dashminer...

So XMR pool is closing down.

And your X11 pool is STILL in operation (not closed as announced previously)?

IMHO, XMR mining is still profitable, better than ZEC but lower than ETH.

Anyways, good luck in your future projects and thanks for the brief duration of XMR pool.

I have moved my rigs to Nicehash temporarily selling hash until I find a good XMR-BTC pool to mine.

Meanwhile, I have X11 ASICs but I think your X11 pool does not support ASICs. Any plans to support to increase your overall pool hashrate?

Thanks

Hi citronick!

Yes, the old pool is still working. Here is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1103260.new#new
It is not an X11 pool though, it is an AMD GPU multipool with BTC and DASH payouts.

Thanks!

Dear miners!

Unfortunately, I have to close down the pool. It will stop working in 3 days. Please move to other pools.

Or if you have AMD videocards, you are welcome to stay on dashminer.com classic algorithm-switching pool. We have payouts in DASH and BTC. All info is here: http://dashminer.com/quickstart/

I think I have to at least explain myself of why I am closing it. Three reasons:
1. I was not able to create a faster mining kernel for AMD videocards. I could reach the speeds of Claymore miner, but nothing above it.
2. Monero is not that profitable to mine.
3. The number of miners is quite small and (about 100-200Kh/s total) and because of that blocks are found very irregularly. Last 2 days there were 0 blocks found at all.
4. I lost more that 0.5 BTC on "bad luck" for blocks by paying out of the pocket. I thought that this will even out over time, but it's not happening yet and I just don't have extra BTC to pay out of my pocket.

Anyways, I hope you are not mad. Things like this do happen.

Thank you and good luck!

problem with pool
cannot connect

"am3" was DDOSed from thousands of different IPs. Modified software to ignore this BTC address and hopefully it's ok now.

Please make sure to always specify backup pool on the command line, so that your rigs are never out of work in such situations.

Thanks

Will your upcoming Dashminer software for Cryptonight be able to primary and backup automatically?
Any anti-DDOS protection for sf and am in the future?

All my rigs are showing high rejects.

Is the anything wrong with sf3 node?

A few rigs now starting to swing to am3 server.

Am I the only one having this problem?

Please investigate.

Im also getting lots of reject or stale job, or no job for X minute on am3, please check.

Also is there a page where you can see your payouts ? or you always have to rely on the blockchain ?

OK, I'm investigating. But the statistics is fine, blocks are found, etc. Also, my own rigs are mining on sf3 just fine. I'll keep a close watch...

Update: problem should be fixed now!

Keep on mining, I'll compensate for the lost 5 hours in next payment cycle.

Sorry about this.

Thanks!

Can you describe the problem and the resolution taken today?

I think it help because being transparent in these matters, it will assure your members that this site is the real deal.

Thanks

Note: I have redirected all my GPU rigs to the pool. Appreciate the good gesture of compensation for the 5 hour downtime.

Sure, the problem was the new format of transactions in Monero. So the node-cryptonote-util was just crashing and could not decode any of the new blocks. https://github.com/zone117x/node-cryptonote-pool/issues/130

PS: I paid all miners that had rigs pointed to my pool during the blackout as if they were mining. So the average daily payout should stay constant.

Thanks for the report and compensation.

Once in a while, I see stratum disconnects error messages, is this something to worry about?

Currently, I am using sgminer 5.5.4 (Linux) for RX480s and claymore XMR miner v9.7 (Windows) for non-RX GPUs.

Good!) If you continue to go as well, I recommend a heap of people.)

There is a question - what will advise difficulty installing depending on hashrate rigs? For example, some difficulty to put the rig in 3 KH/s - 25,000 or 100,000 ?

Hi!

I'd go for 10,000 or 25,000.

100,000 is only good for big farms and hired hashrate.

Thanks

Dear miners!

I am terribly sorry for this screwup with both nodes not accepting shares. I am looking into this right now, but it will probably be at least a few hours (or more) until I fix this.

If you can, I recommend you to temporarily mine some other coin / use another pool. And I hope to see you back again when it's fixed.

There will be a bonus payment for my screwup in next payment.

Thanks for understanding.

I'll post updates on this page.

Thanks

Right holders pools to prepare for hard Fork and they have no problems with the pool of work, there are no problems with the payment of funds. You do not pay, you have a problem, your pool looks like a SCAM

I am on the correct fork and used the proper monero daemon. The problem seem to be in pool software (which is not what I wrote myself, so trying to fix smb's else bugs)...

Hello,

Trying your pool with a few XMR rigs to see how it goes.

Do you plan to have SSL support and also API support ?

Cheers

How do I insert a backup pool (am3) into the sgminer-gm command line?

sgminer sf3...., am3...... -p x ?

Hi!

I believe sgminer-gm is based on standard sgminer.
So I think you have two options:

1) Use a config file with a list of pools
2) Provide multiple "-o" on the same line, for example:
Quote
sgminer.exe -k cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://sf3.dashminer.com:3334 -o stratum+tcp://am3.dashminer.com:3334 -u 111111 -p x --rawintensity 1024 --worksize 16

Please let me know if this does not work for you and I'll download sgminer-gm and try on my PC.

Thanks!

didnt work out...

hope your dashminer.exe will do auto failover just like previous X11 days.

will continue with sgminer-gm but with sf3 node only

70-80 kh/s coming your way

For multipool with sg-miner, you need to put also the password & user for each pool you add.

like this : sgminer -o http://pool1:port -u pool1username -p pool1password -o http://pool2:port -u pool2usernmae -p pool2password

example taken from https://github.com/genesismining/sgminer-gm

cheers.

This works - thanks

What hash speed is considered for slow, medium and fast miners?

Thanks for the question. I updated op.

I recommend to use 10,000 for "normal" miners. (I.e. if you just have a few rigs).
If you have a farm or are buying hashrate, then you would probably know exactly what diff you want.
For example, NiceHash will not work with low diff of 10,000.

Thanks

I don't see any mention of fees anywhere?

Hi!

It is zero fee currently. We are paying based on the average income of mining a certain coin per day. So for example, if zero blocks were found by the pool, all miners will still get payed.
The payment per KHs should match the values computed for your hashrate on whattomine.com, coinwarz.com, etc. Or if  you check nicehash.com for example.

Thanks!
