Before we get into the best mining pools to join it's important to note that most mining pools are in China. I suggest to join slush pool despite it not being one of the biggest pools. It was the first bitcoin mining pool most reliable and trusted pools especially for beginners.

I wanted to know one thing, Is it better mine in a pool with few workers but the blocks will take time or mine in pool with more workers ?
I mean there is a pool that takes 5 days to mine one block and another that takes 5 minutes.
Does the reward changes ?
well in the normal terms you want to mine in pools with more hashrate because you get your reward sooner and price can change in like what 5 days ! so find pools with better luck and higher hashrate unless you have enough hashrate to boost another pool and help them out.
