I'm using europe location on nicehash which is the nearest to my location but getting bad performance but changing to Japan server solves all the issue, stability is better now but what I'm confused about is Japan is more far away so but instead it fixed my issue
most likely the server to overload as EU server is most crowded on many pools and more miners join because bigger chance to get block & hoping get more "luck" rewards
i'm using 2 server pools instead one for balance rewards

The closer the better but won't matter if you are using Nicehash, that software performance sucks no matter which location you change it to, after changing to Viabtc pool I knew the huge difference instantly, no more rejected shares or stales, now it's just accepted shares in huge number with no single rejected shares after two days of mining nonstop

Are people still getting stales shares? I hardly get any at all and I almost don't know what it was when I started mining, all eye focused on accepted shares and rejected shares lol anyways, OP you can only judge when you mine for 24 hrs and what you get is exactly what you should base on your calculator

Some pools dont report stale shares because they dont pay for it, some pools pay for it, ethermine for example, pays 50%, at least is something.

It depends how nicehash counts your shares, far away servers from your location means more ping latency and more ping latency means more stale shares overall.
