I loathe Mircea Popescu. I wish this person no harm however.
I believe in Bitcoin and shudder when I see maniacs like this taking centre stage for all the wrong reasons.

So what you're saying is that Mircea is a hero of truth and justice, than? I mean, if the fucking FEDS are after him/her...I am on your side. I don't want to shout it out too loud though. I want to engage discussion. We, as a community, need to stand up against potential dictators. Are we not supposed to be all about decentralisation? If so, let's commit to that very concept when it comes to choosing leadership. Bitcoin is becoming very powerful and power corrupts, like it or not. We have a duty of care to protect ourselves and each other, and ensure that the bitcoin code prevents such ills. Bitcoin will only ever succeed if we allow it to do what it is meant to do. In my view, it is only a matter of time until we all hand over trust to mathematics. I can't wait!
