there are people who visit porn sites without ad blocking and using stuff like noscript? wow.

is it ok to say that i don't really have a problem with this? it seems like a pretty fair exchange to me. i've no idea how they do it but it wouldn't bother me unless i was rendering something.

it's crazy how toxic advertising has become. we get the content providers trying to guilt trip us into stopping blocking but hit you with the most offensive, blaring, invasive crap. the last time i went on the internet without blocking i felt like my mind was melting.

I also remembered reading an article about deepfakes and cryptocurrency. Wherein the deepfakes porn sites are disguised as only porn sites while in reality it is a bitcoin mining site. Because deepfakes porn became popular, many people are visiting its newly created sites. And one disguised mining site is not suspicious. And I think that its a clever way to have a mining site. Porn site + Bitcoin mining site = Profit.

Seems like this is all the rage these days. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal because it basically functions like ads in that they monetize traffic; it's just that they're much more intrusive and it could be said that they're stealing your resources. They seem relatively safe otherwise (from the small time of research I put in at least, correct me if I'm wrong), unlike ads which could contain malicious code. I guess it could work well in porn because you're probably just watching a video anyway.

Whatever your opinion is on it, you could simply install NoScript on Firefox and ScriptSafe on Chrome to eliminate their threat entirely, along with malicious scripts and ads.
