When i bought ethereum it was because it has smart contracts that bitcoin doesn't have but i should have gone into bitcoin nobrainer because it would made x10- x15 my investment... ethereum only x2. So i'm hesitating to wait for the maturity of the project to make more gain or switch to btc which is more and more mainstream so the price keep rising or miota / ltc. Ethereum is still struggle under 500$ even though everybody was thinking it would rise 3 days ago.
Good coins to look into:
1. BTC ...the king, 70% of portfoloio is BTC, for obvious reasons ...upcomming forks, bullish, more and more media attention worldwide.
2. ETH ...very good devs, big community
3. NEO ...the chinese ETH - expected to increase big time after china opens the market
4. XMR ...#1 privacy cryptocurrency with biggest community, fluffypony
5. IOTA ...internet of things crypto, interesting project, gained a lot of attention
6. KMD ...WOW, this one willexplode in my opinion, bought in yesterday
7. EOS, OMG, Lisk ...I like their ideas, lot of potential
...of course there are a lot of small cap coins with opportunities to get huge profits. ...but the problem is you need to be lucky to get the right one.
My personal advice is to spread little amounts in some coins that look promising to you, have a whitepaper, a known devteam,active community
...just do some research.

Ethereum can go upto $1000 within next few months so its better you hold your ETH when you have bought them at quite lower price. $500 can be new bottom for the next pump for ETH so if you can still buy more ETH with your fiat right now than you can buy and hold them for atleast a month to double your money.
I know etherium price now is pumping. Its good to member who hold etherium.
I still believe that etherium will pump again in next few month.
But $1000 per etherium need 3 or 4 month i think.

My suggestion is definitely diversify your portfolio to take advantage of potential rises in coins other than Ethereum. Going all in for ethereum can pay off handsomely and i do think that it'll go to at least 0.08 btc again this year, but there will be dips along the way that you can buy in for less than you sold for.
For example you could sell 20% now, since ETH just had some pretty nice pumps, then buy in when ETH falls back to 0.06 BTC if you're really long with ETH.
Or as i said, you could diversify these funds into other potential alts.

4. OMG - also has a huge potential and a real life partnerships, should be big once they start releasing their products

Absolutely agree with the first 3 on your list. I have them as biggest chunks of my portfolio as well. I will take a detailed look at OMG to see if this is something for me to invest in also.

Just hold. The ethereum price is still growing right now and the pos hype makes it increase more.
You better hold Ethereum now my friend because there are very high chances that Ethereum will reach $ 1000. From the last 4, 5 days, Ethereum has showed significant growth in price and it's market cap has also increased. According to critics, Whales are behind this price increase as they are pumping it. My suggestions are to hold Ethereum for some time as it will not take much time to reach to $1000.
Waves or BTC, also can buy some neo, neo is the way of the eth value also should continue to increase in the future, but hold COINS were to try the patience of a person, so if you choose good long-term holding it.
Ethereum, Stratis and Komodo would be my 3 pics, Bitcoin not so much at this price.

I hold over hundreds of ethereum in my wallet right now and i was getting almost 2x from my ethereum investment. As a lot of the rumour in the crypto since the ethereum will be changing to the pos and to keep our ethereum seems to be a recommended choice. if you are expect the next dip in ethereum and that will not decrease a lot just like what already happened at bitcoin fork.
Since people are seeing about the fact that block reward in the ethereum will decrease more and more. there will be no inflation or at least it gets controlled. that means the increase on its value.
Use that money to gamble with ico's, it is not a big amount of money and you do not have anything to lose, that money can be easily be recovered with 3 days of work.
And maybe if you are lucky, you can get more than thousands of dollars if you just invest in the right ico, who knows? maybe you make more than x4 of your balance and then it would be a big amount of money, and you are going to be able to diversify it better if you have that balance.

Congrats! I held some Ethereum too a month ago, but I swap it for Bitcoin not long after. Both are rising but ETH rise higher, well I shouldn't be greedy
Diversify it to Bitcoin, it'll definitely worth it. Bitcoin has been on a constant rise since a few months ago. Just like ETH, Bitcoin also making new high every day right now. We are in an uptrend and things are looking good, the market seems to want to reach $10,000 before the new year. If you're looking for more than one coin to diversify, I would suggest Litecoin. Bitcoin has a lot of upcoming features in development. Do you know which coin would implement those features first? Litecoin.
All this time I've been recommending people to hold BTC, ETH, and LTC. Hope there's someone out there who took my advice and gain some profits.
Use your eth for good ICO's. Allthough it gets tougher everyday to find good ones, you can earn more with ICO's than with eth...

If you have $275 then dont think about diversifying, because you are not going to be buying anything.
That is a very little portfolio and you can not be thinking about buying several altcoins because you are not going to make a big profit from that amount of money.
Better to keep that amount on Ethereum, who knows if it decides to go to $800 in a few months? You are going to be doubling your money again.

While the price increases of course to sell is not worth it. Need to see what will happen after the launch of CASPER and how POS will affect the price. True miners will go live and the price may sink or may grow, nobody knows.
But I'm still a supporter of risk management. You should always diversify your portfolio. Sell a portion say 20% of the rest here. NEBLIO can powerfully shoot. Advise you to pay attention. well, something of the top 20 coins you can buy 5-10 coins in the portfolio always should be.
i dont think so that it is good idea to diversify your investment at this point when whales are pumping the ethereum you better hold it untill it hit the 1000$ and with the current growth speed i don't think so that ethereum will take long to hit the 1000$

If you could manage to make doubling for your capital, please don't destroy your chance. You caught the trend from a good point, and then you need to maintain this. Stay in ether and don't move your funds to bitcoin.

I also bought ethereum in may and was holding it and still holding it. I would suggest not to sell ethereum rather trade with ethereun as many exchanges provides you the opportunity to trade with ethereum.
If you have bitcoin then you can buy some other fundamentally strong coins like STRATIS, LITECOIN .
Sell everything as it is high now and buy the dip, this strategy does not work 
but you should diversify that works and is very beneficial for investors.

If you are selling your etheruem and what will be happening if the price will increase more and more caused by the pos hype? you will get another loss in the ethereum.
