Any developers here interested in a free miner ? I;m working out a deal with Alcheminer to provide one of thier 96MH units to a verified developer who can help optimize an sgminer/cgminer miner.
What i might do is provide ssh access to my test box and have the free unit held in escrow until the mining software is tested and working, or if we can get a hero member to bite on this just ship out the unit outright.
current issues with the current miner -
-too many timeouts i.e getworks
-20-50% reject rates on multipools/vardiff servers
-i think this is also a reason why the chips are using almost double thier actual power rating
-major issues on vardiff pools even setting the diff to 8k still causes a ton of rejects. Only works well on Ghash.io with 50k Diff or Asic Specfic pools where Diff can be set to over 50k
-UI is a bit clunky does not graphically or even in a real time console show things such as WU , asic temps etc.
I think the miner has alot of untapped potential and since prices are dropping with a bit better efficiency and performance on multi pools/nicehash is xtranonce can be also enabled
the boxes would be far more desirable.
