Venus and Mercury lined up together couldn't affect the earth's oceans in any significant way.

There is a chance you could be hit by a meteor you know - it could be a good idea to wear a helmet all the time, just in case.   Wink

While the moon might be close enough to earth for its gravity to affect the oceans, the other planets are not close enough IMO.
