He should put the hosting, the domain and also the email to the escrow service because one are still able to retrieve the password/change the password using the email registered to the domain and hosting provider

Still wouldn't be enough - he could still recover the hosting account using social engineering.

"Dear Mr. Host, my account and email was hacked and I can prove it - just ask me any questions about my account!"

It would be a much better idea for both parties by using the Webserver as collaterol or even using a loan from a bank.

I advice you to move your post into Securities section. There you could find someone interesting in you project. Then, i think if you give away some shares (don't tell me how, can't help you  Sad ) investor could finance your project. Me too (for example, i could buy 0.1BTC in shares)

If you made 1000 shares, at 0.01BTC per share. (with the 1000 being a 25-50% stake of your business) you would be able to easily find investors. Though, this means that you would have to try to create shareholder meetings with all the share holders.

That's a possibility. But once DustDice is at full capacity, I'd want 25-50% back Cheesy. My question here is, would you invest in that yourself? How many shares could you buy? I'm doubting I have the trust to be able to be trusted with a large-ish amount uncollateralized.

I'd suggest something possibly better:
Sell 25% of your business as 1000 shares at 0.01BTC/share to get your money. However, you create a legal contract with them so that you can purchase te shares back at any time as long as you pay double what they paid. This would mean that, as long as you raise enough money from this, tyou and the holder will profit. This may work.
OR
You could list your loan on a site like BTCjam (these tend to get filled quickly). If you do this, I will invest a small amount towards it and you can encourage otherm members to do the same.

I don't see how that's not a valid collateral, MoneyPot apps can easily be transferred, as well I'd have a talk with admins to explain the transferal. If you see any loopholes please PM them to me as there are none. It's like sending Bitcoin, once it's yours its yours unless you get hacked. I personally think it's a completely valid collateral, why would it not be?

You don't see how you could work with your admins and totally cut the lender off once you received the coins?   Huh

It's not valid collateral.

You'd have to transfer the domain and all the hosting to a neutral third party.  Even then you could simply register a new name and copy your code.

You are supposed to state what sort of collateral you are offering. The way you are talking makes me think you will scam by persuading any interested lender to invest in your business and become your "business partner".

Asking for a loan without explicitly stating the collateral can get you nagged.

Essentially if you don't want to be my business partner, DustDice and its profits along with its accounts and such would be collateral.

Being my business partner doesn't mean you send me money, it means you'd directly be using it towards expenses.

Basically what you are saying is that I would gain some sort of a weird partial ownership of the site as collateral?

I can see so many loopholes in that idea, I can also see a lot of scam opportunities for you.
I would not take that as valid collateral. Nobody should in fact.

Trusted escrow can hold collateral. I am more of looking for a business partner whom we can bring each other a long way. A coder is a plus, if you're both there's a good chance I'll like you Smiley

Bumping this back up, I'm still open.

I was considering not taking a loan, but I want to see if anyone is interested anyways. I run https://dustdice.com and I'm looking for some more rapid growth. A loan would be helpful for marketing and development efforts. I've decided not to make this an official loan thread simply to keep sensitive information away from public eyes. In short, I'd be looking for 2-6 BTC across 2-3 months, collateralized, and repaid via profits. I do have a plan and such so if you're interested make sure to let me know Cheesy. Again, this would be collateralized and secured, do not think I will scam Cheesy.

Exactly what collateral would you be offering? Would it be a fixed interest? If so how much?

Details would have to be discussed in private I prefer. If you want I can PM you with answers for all of the above.

I too want to know this information.
What collaterol is required:
Is there an exact loan term or a percentage payment upon interest per day:
When will the payments be (is it just one payback or will it be done in segments):
Would escrow have to hold the collaterol:
Also, since it is a service you are offering, would I have a permanent stake in the business of something like 10% (this is not required, it is just extra information!)

If you don't want to share this here please pm

Thank you
Jack G

EDIT:
NOTE: any information shared from you be it sensitive or not, I will not share it, and will remove the message straight away after reading and putting in offline data storage.

@RayBrady

I am interested. But how do I know you own dustdice.com as you've claimed? I've invested a little @ moneypot. I do not mind diversifying some to your site. But what is your plan? Smiley

Edit: Consider this a passive thread. I don't want to give the idea of a possible "scam" as EcuaMobi pointed out. So I'm living without this loan, but if you are interested still please let me know as an investor would help a ton.
