I think there will be more spamming account tomorrow since some may clicked into that link  Sad

Making captcha before user can posting will be a good solution

I notice in the modlog that a huge amount of the recent ones have been user 344575, as he lures a victim in another account becomes compromised and a new wave starts

Would a solution not be to automate the temp banning for a day or two of users when over x amount of their recent posts have been deleted over y time, this would stop the constant stream of them and take the workload off the mods, the temp ban can then be assessed by the admins ?

As of now there are 76 deletions on this account, that's maybe 73 that didn't need to be done if using 3 deletions in a row, or 3 in 24 hours as examples.

The numbers can be tweaked for sure but if a mod has to intervene and delete x consecutive posts then the user is obviously doing something wrong, we aren't talking permanent ban only a temp one.

The hacked accounts usually have all their posts deleted around the same time that they get banned.

I can also think of a good number of examples when it would be appropriate to delete 3 posts of a user but not to ban them.
