My address is need to know only. All people need to know is the areas I am willing to ship to. People who buy from me see my return address, I trust they treat that information with discretion just as I show discretion to other people's identities.

A sub-forum where people can create threads for a given locality would be a great idea, not just for residents but also for people who are travelling.

I know simple machines is just a generic forum tool. And I know that people can put their location if they want. However, I think most people just never get to that.
I'm just saying it would be nice to have a thread-turned database (minus negative connotation) of the geographic locations of users. This of course should be voluntary. But there are just so many more transactions that can occur locally; something too big to mail, any sort of service, etc. What do you think?
