Your are welcome!

philfromqueens,
what is your results in absolute values eth/day, z/day?

so i got around to doing the settings for eth and i was able to get my 6 1660tis to about 30.9 MH/s on average.  altogether that is about .0137 eth/day

Thx for info and goodluck!

philfromqueens,

im not sure about eth because i hadnt done the calculations for expected return back when i mined it a couple weeks ago.  but i know from what to mine its about 10-15% less than zcoin.

I can do about .3-.36 zcoin in a day depending on the network hashrate and such.

@fre2mansur my advise - don't buy anything for education purpose.
Education is a short time.
If you don't have crypto yet, try all steps "mining"-"wallet"-"exchange".
For example, use your laptop to see CPU mining (banano or other coins), telegram click bots, faucets (btc, ltc, doge and so on) and for less than a month you gain your first crypto and see difference in speeds, fees, difficulties.

Thank you @adaseb @kvorum

I will try with the desktop.
if I buy a desktop will it come with the graphics card? or I need to purchase separately for it?
Can you please tell me about the best configuration for desktop, storage, n memory, importantly the processer?

Most desktops these days don't come with an external GPU because many motherboards and/or CPUs have a built-in onboard GPU. The GPU is usually what you need to purchase unless you are buying some gaming desktop.

The storage and processor is not really important if you are GPU mining. For RAM usually 4GB should be enough.

My advice is buy the cheapest motherboard+cpu combo you can find and buy an old RX 470 4GB GPU and start with that and see how it goes. You can buy Nvidia but they usually hold a premium in price due to demand from gamers.

Hey guys,
where to find that information?
i am using a laptop which is 8gb ram, intel HD graphics 620.
can i use my laptop for mining for education purpose? if yes please give me a link for reference.
if no, tell me what i need to upgrade?

THanks

Even for educational purposes your laptop is not equipped to mine anything. Also mining with a laptop is never a good idea since it has a battery that can explode due to heat from the CPU+GPU. You should never mine with a laptop. If you really want to mine anyways then at least take out the battery and just leave the power cord plugged in.

Your best bet is to build a desktop and go on eBay and buy a cheap RX 470 4GB GPU and you will make like 0.50$ a day with that GPU before power costs. Its not much but a good way to get into the mining world. And later on you can go and build rigs of 6+ GPUs.

But you can't really upgrade the laptop, they aren't designed to be upgraded. Buy a desktop.

Currently mining on Nicehash, my rig is nothing special, used to be my gaming PC and now turned it into mining. The positive about it is the low power consumption. Only 110 Watts for each GPU + 95 Watts for the CPU.
GPU: 2x R7 260X OC 2Gb RAM
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860k
Power Supply: 650 W Corsair VS650
Hashrate: 270-280 on Equihash
Miner: Optiminer Zcash, Nicehash
Power Consumption: 300-350 Watts

I don't use the new equipment. For economy I bought everything second hand. I only buy new GPU. When I collected this rig my main task was to maximize savings.

GPU: Sapphire RX 580 8 GB (6 GPU's)
CPU: AMD (2th Gen)
Power Supply: 1250 W
Hashrate: 182 MH/s
Miner: Claymore
Power Consumption: 850 W
