I guess given your campaign to a higher rank individual will create more trust in those who will want to apply for it..

OP, let me help you by sending a Merit so you don't have to wait for too long.

However if you'd like to support the forum with the Copper Membership, by all means Smiley
Op is already inactive which last seen active is on october 2018. There's no point in giving it to op plus this thread is bump by a newbie asking the same question and in this case the newbie who bumped this thread didn't even consider the answer given which is the solution either rank up to jr. member or buy copper membership.

OP hasn't been online for more than 2 years and I don't think he/she needs any merit. Most probably, OP will never see the merit you give him/her.

However if you'd like to support the forum with the Copper Membership, by all means Smiley
I remember I read somewhere that the forum doesn't need any money.
Therefore, buying copper membership with the purpose of supporting the forum is not a good idea.

Oh no, now you mentioned it... I should have known

I agree with your statement on the money part, as there's a massive reserve of BTC. Some would rather skip the wait and just go with the membership though.

This is a question i have always want to ask, If as newbie, you cannot post bounties and announcements on bitcontalk, what rank do you need to do that>

You need atleast jr.member rank but you can by pass it by buying the copper membership rank here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-can-now-pay-a-small-fee-to-enable-images-2385104

Just follow the instruction and after you purchase the copper membership you can now post and enable the image on your created thread.

You can do it from any rank, including Newbie. Posting on those boards is not rank delimited. Nevertheless, if there are images you want to display, you’d need to have a rank above Jr. Member, or acquire a Copper Membership (the latter comes with some other perks too).

Lol, just a seconds behind before posting the copper membership suggestion.  Cheesy

Another option - hire high ranked member to post ANN thread. But you need to find member with good reputation.

For me, if you do something like this I'd see you as trying to 'fake' your reputation. It's better if you use your own account, Copper member is made for this purpose. Who post your ANN & Bounty thread doesn't bring any credibility if your project is not good. You should focus on your project more than deciding how you made your ANN & bounty thread.
I understand your point and I think you're right that it gives fake reputation to project, because person who posted ANN aren't part of ICO devs team. Personally, I was hired to post announcements for few ICO's and it was quite successfull. But as I remember, back then there was no Copper memberships available. I agree that it's not crucial thing who posted announcement. But about bounties - let's leave this thing to professionals. I think all ICO's must hire manager for their bounty campaign Cheesy

There's a lot of newbie who post ANN for their product, so sure you can.
But I suggest you go with a reputable member in this forum to do your ANN and bounty, that, if you want to attract more investors.
Lately, ICO has been in declining success, that's because of scams all over, so, it's better to try to hire someone if you really aim for big success.

It's better to hire an exprienced and reputed bounty manager for more reach. Most people don't want to join a campaign where a newbie is manager.

Being a newbie may restrict the publicity and acknowledgements your announcement thread gets, but I'd prefer that to getting another member do that for you to gain clout.
If you are a reputable member on another platform you may consider linking that to your account in this forum.
Build a personality behind your account.
Grow your reputation.
And most importantly put emphasis on the quality of the your service.

Everybody starts from square one and they should be given the chance.
There is no obstacle or any hinderance to any forum member or users, all we have is rules and very less strict restrictions.
Posting an announcement thread as a newbie sure doesn't reduce or make the bounty less credible, its just except in situations of posting with images which is needed in most bounties and the forum is fair enough to allow one evade that obstacle by purchasing a copper membership for a little amount in order to bypass that obstacle.

There is no need to contact a higher ranked member to post an ann thread,go ahead and do so yourself, and if it needs an image, purchase the copper membership rank

Thanks Guys for the Reply. In terms of Credibility of a project, does it need to be posted by well ranked member here or Lower Rank Members like newbies will do?
That'a good question. Personally, to post announcement I think it would be best to use your official account which also wil be used for further communication. But since you are newbie, you need to buy Copper membership if you want to post images (I'm sure you want).
Another option - hire high ranked member to post ANN thread. But you need to find member with good reputation. If member who posted your ANN will get red trust rating, it wont give good image to your project. And hiring one of forum members can give you little inconvenience when you will want to update Announcement post because only user who posted it can update that post.
And one thing that you need to know - don't try to buy farmed account to post your announcement

Not sure why nobody has told you about Copper membership:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.24371150
Newbies are restricted to post images. To have eye-catching ANN, you have to add images. So, you need to buy Copper membership to remove some Newbie rank restrictions, then you will be able to post images and make nice Announcement.

I agree, the Copper Membership is a good deal to give a newbie account the ability to post images in the thread.  That's the approach I took with my announcement.

Best of luck with your project!

Best regards,
Ben

Are newbies allowed to post on Service Discussion and Announcement Discussion Section? I am planning to post an ANN thread and Bounty thread for our product. Not sure if newbies are allowed or the account still needs to rank up to do so.

Thanks

Yes, you can. But a newbie doesn't have enough trust to make everybody believe that your project not scam.
If you manage your Bounty thread, I will never join and I think people will so

I think you should ask a Hero/Legendary Member to post and manage your Bounty thread.

Good luck with your project.

Not true. IMO its better to post the thread from an official account and provide support with it in the thread even if its Newbie. Low rank won't stop people from joining the bounty if the project is good.
and plus, the newbie account can made some donation so that newbies account will get some privileges and will get more trust from other members.
so, i'll say no problem with newbie rank for official account but if only made some donation.
