Try Pm'ing Theymos or BadBear directly. They might see it and do something.
I PM'd both of them 2 days ago but haven't heard back. From the looks of it, it takes less than a minute to alter this setting and fix the problem. so I'm sure they just haven't seen this thread or my PM's yet which is why I'm giving this thread another bump. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one using the RSS and that would like this limit removed so that we can see the first opening posts in their entirety via RSS and then click to see the full threads here if they sound interesting. This is something i want to see since some months already too. The 200 signs are simply too few to get a grasp about most threads that you can read. At the end i have to load the thread which is time consuming.
I would suggest a free setting. If the first post only has 100 signs then i would want to get the signs from the next post until a certain amount of signs is taken. That would make it easier to find out what a thread is about fast.

Long-time lurker here! I like to be able to follow Bitcoin discussions from different sites on my RSS Reader, but the RSS feed from bitcointalk.org is cutting off the posts after about 200 characters.
Could you please remove the limit so that we can read the full opening posts in our RSS Readers?
I wanted to make this as easy as possible for you and save you time so that you'd actually do it, and found out how to do it on SMF.
You have to go to Admin-> News and Newsletters -> Settings
And change the "Maximum post length" to "0" to remove the limit so that it doesn't cut off the opening post.
Could you please kindly let me know when this is down so I can confirm that it's working correctly on my RSS Reader?
