There has been a lot of talk recently about PotCoin being dead.
That is not the case.
Recently, behind the scenes, PotCoin is making a comeback...not that they were really ever gone.
Potcoin has recently partnered with a government/defense contractor - Perago Contract Specialists - and is working with them to develop a program to provide both CBD as well as legalized cannabis to Veterans with PTSD since the Department of Veterans' Affairs has nixed the idea so far. They will be making announcements soon as to what else is coming down the road.
PotCoin has been around since 2013 - the code was released in Jan of 2014. They are a NON-ICO coin with a strong push for real-world mass adoption.
Bittrex did not de-list PotCoin. Although FUDs would tell you they did. Due to regulatory issues, Bittrex delisted many many coins - but they saw the value in PotCoin and moved them to Bittrex International for non-US customers. Currently, US customers may acquire and divest PotCoin through Changeangel.io - new exchanges for US customers are in development and will be announced.
Considering there's not been artificial inflation of PotCoin - that shows that the main holders of the coin are in it for the long haul and haven't dumped their bags. There's been no wash trading or other nefarious manipulations of the price. Those who bought at 1000 or even 400 sats have strong hands and aren't dumping bags.
When PotCoin came out, the world wasn't ready. So, now that crypto as a whole has much more of a household name and many of the ALTs that were draining the worldwide market cap have died off - with PotCoin surviving, expect that the coin is going to dominate the legal cannabis industry.
PotCoin invented this space. They were the first to marry crypto and cannabis in 2013 - with mining starting in Jan of 2014.
They were the first to be used in dispensaries and had the first form of ATMs installed in late 2014 - and the first ALT coin to get mainstream media attention - and the first to have parings with stable coins.
It has been very clear to the team that since the early days PotCoin was ahead of its time. PotCoin knew that when things would be easier in this space, others would come out of the woodwork - most just for the dollars.
PotCoin has stayed true to Satoshi's vision even though it would have been very easy to do an ICO during the time PotCoin sent Dennis Rodman to North Korea.
This is history and it is our history. There is a ton of depth in PotCoin's past and what's backing this coin is the blood and sweat from the team and community working hard, making partnerships and being creative about it.
