I would say what market cap a coin has doesn't really indicate how it will do. Just because it is under 50 million dollars doesn't mean that it has a huge potential to go higher. I understand that in stock market world in a peter lynch type of investment you do not go for apple like stocks and you try to find stocks under 2 billion dollars just so you could invest into something that could have a huge profit over long period of time before it reaches to a market cap hit and stops going higher that way, so in a coin with 50 million dollars that might work.

You would assume that it could go as much as 40x before you can start to consider another coin. However the reality is that system doesn't work like that in coin world, it works differently, something that has a future starts with higher marketcap on day one and just keeps growing, and growing bigger even at high levels.

As above the title, I need to advise a few coins under 50 million dollars market cap to invest, Thanks
Finding small caps is no more attractive for me because when market really goes parabolic we see no matter how big the market cap is the coin grows in price alongwith the market cap to insane levels so I would rather pick quality coins than finding poor quality low caps.

And I myself recommend hex and polka dot if you really want to invest.
Not sure if you talk about the same coin but those have more than $50 mil cap already, at least according to CMC.

Why not target under $10 mil market cap since alt season is going to come sooner or later? You obviously need to limit the funds for them though.

Coinmarketcap.com would be the best place for this on where you can search out or spot out which coins are on that 50 million cap bracket.By the way, are you tending to risk on buying those
coins just because they are low caps? If yes then you should be careful because not all the times these projects will really be having some recovery and would slowly to die.
Im sure that someone do give out some hints or tips about buying low caps but if i were to say then this would really be a gamble but of course you would really be finding
the best or most potential coins among the group, not just on carelessly choosing.

If indeed you have read the comments above, of course you already know the list of coins that you can buy for under 50 Million. And I myself recommend hex and polka dot if you really want to invest. Both of these coins have huge potential and have shown huge increases. You can check yourself for more details. I only provide input.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
The above posts are informative to get what you have asked for.

However if you are new to this sector of cryptocurrency, I would ask you to think twice on your decision.

Altcoins are and have always been second to bitcoin. Whatever koolaid those project owners might say, dont buy it. I have been watching them and seen projects go both up and down but the ups never were sustained nor any real development ever occurred.

As per my experience none of the altcoins on the top10 of Coinmarketcap are worth buying.

You might have different opinions, which I would definitely like to hear but not argue on, because arguing with an altcoin lover is like fighting with a windmill.

Great Arkansas gave you a few helpful steps to screen 'potential' coins for you. I'd prefer to give one more step: Screen them by the indicator of % down from ATH.

How to do this?
  • Messari.io's screener (you need to create you free account to customize your screener with that indicator)
  • Click on Customize: Type in to the search box "% down from ATH".
  • I also narrow the range of marketcap from 10 mil. to 50 mil.

It is screening step to narrow down the list of 'potential' altcoins. When you have a list, you need to do forensic investigations on those projects as Great Arkansas guided you.

A warning is you should think of how many percent of your portfolio should be in altcoins. Don't make any all-in investment in altcoins. Don't take risk like that because altcoins are pumped and dumped. Their intrinsic values mostly are zero or very low.

How many coins do you want?
Here's my advice to you;
  • Go to https://coinmarketcap.com/2/, if you check there, on page 2 of coinmarketcap list, there you can see the under 50,000,000 dollars market cap, around top 160+.
  • First, you can try to pick any altcoin there, you can pick by random or you can check them 1 by 1, like just skim their website or what about the project, your choice. Let's say you pick 20 altcoins.
  • After you pick your 20 altcoins, you can start to research them 1 by 1, their goal, what problem they want to solve, their roadmap, etc. Let's say, there are some out of 20, you don't want, then you can filter the most better for you, like 10 altcoins.
  • You already have 10 altcoins, then if you just want 5 altcoins, then you can do another round of filtering the 10 altcoins, deep research, ask some people, create a thread on some forum, dive to their community, etc.

I hope it will help, there are lot of altcoins that below 50 million dollars marketcap. From what I see, the less marketcap, the riskier. Just my 2 cents!
