If someone asks me they need my paper wallet in blockchain because his BTC is in a cold wallet, is this a scam or do I need to know something before I go in.
obviously he's going to scam you, even his btc in a cold wallet he could easily make a transaction by moving his address which have funds to online wallet or he can just make a transaction from his cold wallet, don't easily doing what stranger say

Ah, yeah, he is trying to scam you. A paper wallet export contains both your public and your private key.

Question, what would he need if he wasn't trying to scam me. Or is the "cold wallet" just a distraction and he is definitely trying to scam me. Just want to be more knowledgeable for the future.
What payment method or digital goods are you dealing with? And is he the buyer(his BTC, your something) or the seller(your BTC , his something)?

Edit: If he is the one sending you the BTC , only thing he'd need is your Bitcoin address. Which, as Mitch said, starts with a 1 or 3

He is buying goods from me. Thanks for the responses guys. Love how fast and kind the community seems to be. Will watch out for theses scams in the future. Definitely expect me to be back in the future.

The cold wallet thing is a distraction, because cold wallets can still be accessed and thus used. If a person wants to send you BTC, they only need your public key (starting with a 1 or a 3) and not an export of everything.

For more information about cold wallets (cold storage) checkout this Wiki article: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Cold_storage

Uuuuh, it sounds strange. Why do they want your paper wallet? Could you copy and paste the message they sent you?

"I need the paper wallet to send the bitcoin cause my btc is in the cold wallet. You'll find paper wallet on blockchain. Import/export .And click on button paper wallet"

That's all he said.
