definitely don't buy that thing, cables have current limits and if you y-split a 6 pin into 2x8 pin, you're putting quadruple load on the cable which will probably melt and damage other stuff under load. Also 2 of the 8 pin wires are for voltage regulation, they get snipped in the y-splitter which increases instability.
If you're getting an adapter, get 2xmolex -> 8 pin. You still won't get voltage regulation but at least it won't damage anything.
Next two weeks i get 18 and a friend 68 RX 580 Saphire nitro plus 8 GB cards 😎

Would you be able to find some? like 6GPUs like yours exactly as I'm liking more the 480/580 over 470/570 because they are having more hash rate!

Awesome, btw where have you bought the GPUs? I'm also interested in purchasing many graphic cards especially those beasts 580!
At first I was worried if I can plug two GPUs by the same cable that has the another extension but reading and reading learnt many things about hardware stuff.

Both of them, I'm worried if you have enough cables for a rig with 580s as there aren't many 6 pins and 8 pins.
I have 470 and 570 but they have 6-8 pins maximum so I can use 6 or 6+2 pins.
For a stable system I would suggest you to have two PSUs but that would cost a bit but you don't have to worry.
