Fair enough. You can start the generator early, but you need what is called a power transfer switch with line frequency sync in order to do a transparent cutover.

What a PTS does is fire up the generator, bring it up to speed, then slow it down a bit so that the 3 phases of the AC waveform match the phases of the power company. When they match perfectly the switch closes, the generator is on line, then the power line is cut off so the supplies keep running.

Now.... If the frequency phase of the generator does not match that of the power company then your generator will line up in a fight with the power company and your generator will try to force the power company to speed up or slow down. That won't happen; your generator will get a surge and blow up. In the 1950's my dad remembered working on the generator at his college, they had 3 120 volt light bulbs bridging the generator to the mains with a big switch. The trick was spin up the generator,  speed up/slow down till the 3 light bulbs went out (no current difference, in phase) then throw the big switch (at which point the generator would be synced to the mains). One time a student closed the switch with the bulbs barely glowing. The resulting WHOOM rocked the generator (it was the size of a small building) on its mounts as it came into sync....

The Power Cuts out every 6 Hours starting from 0:00 i could start run the Generator 5-10 Minutes before Cut out.

0:00 am to 06:00 am Goverment
06:00 am to 12:00 am Private Generators (myself)
12:00 am to 18:00 pm Goverment
18:00 pm to 00:00 am Private Generators (myself)

The Bigger the Generator the cheaper it sells here, a 60kwH Generator cost the same as the 140KwH. Its no logic...

I was thinking about getting a UPS.

We have nearly for everything a UPS in my Home - Fridge, Router, TV etc.

After asking some Company's who Provide Generators for Factory's i could get a 140KwH Volvo Generator with Silent Muffler and Box for like 5000 USD.
It will consume 30 Liters Diesel per Hour. (we have very cheap Diesel Prices in my Place)
The Generator is to Big because it could handle at least 60 Antminer S9 + my whole Facility and House.

It would leave me at a 4-5k USD cost to run it.
140kw for $5k is darn cheap. Make sure though the output is relatively stable, harmonics and frequency shifts can be handled by the power supplies to a point, but it could be tough.

More to the point, it's going to take a certain amount of time to spin up the generator, so how will you float the load until the generator comes online. If let them crash and boot, are you still profitable when fueling the generator?

i will be going to China anyway (other business). I learned from Chinese People that you should always have a Contact Person in terms of Problems or Exchanges. They don't care after they sold you the Product if you have any problems.

You can only Pay via Bitcoin Cash, so i will be buying from BITMAIN website direct, because it doesn't make sense to pay more money to buy from a reseller.

Hi guys, i am planning to build and start a BTC farm with 20 Antminer S9.

I am living in a Country where i have a Power Cut off every 6 Hours due to switch from Goverment to Private Generators.

This means i have to deal with a 1-5 min Power Cut off at my whole City before the Power kicks in again.

Will my Miners then Start with a Lower Hash Rate or will they Continue normaly?

I am new to this Topic so dont blame me please.

Thanks

Hi, how are you?

Or make your own dual-conversion UPS based on 24 or 48V used fork lift batteries / charger and 30kw worth of solar array inverters. Run off the inverter(s) all the time with the charger always on, power drops out and inverter(s) now run strictly off the batteries until power returns.

Interesting. I wonder if you can get a flywheel based UPS to carry the load for the 30 seconds or so for the generators to spin up.

The hashrate drop will be minimal, most likely it will resemble the same ramp up as when you first turned them on.
