Oh man you're posting in a wrong section. You can post your question on the altcoins section, there are so many experts in that section mentioning about tokens. This section is for only btc topic.
There has to be ways of knowing. I am yet to following an ICO from inception to understand the trend of a reliable coin. However, I think the common trend is pump and dump if the team behind it are neither reliable nor have reputation to protect. From what I have learnt in the forum, when a new coin gets hyped with no solid empirical evidence that it deserves it, it's time to sell.
