Crypto Swap Exchange
Anyone who suggest KYC in cryptocurrency space shouldn't use cryptocurrency in first place and keep using fiat (exception for centralized exchange and few merchant). I would rather leave this forum rather than give my identity.
Even CloudFlare implementation is enough to make good member who want preseve their anonymity left this forum.

If we want to prevent spam, scam or merit farming, disable signature and remove bounty child board are better option.

TLDR : Your idea can go to hell.

Rather than blocking newly created accounts through IP addresses tracking, I would suggest that a thorough KYC should be done for newly registered members (such as email and ID verification)

Hey Mike.  Smiley

You really should check out bitcoin - it is an anonymous decentralized currency.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom
1) One of the important thing why people want to use the crypto currency is because of anonymity so asking for KYC to register in bitcoin forum in not tolerated in my opinion and I think already many reputed community members were opposes this suggestion.

2) If some users is not abusing any forum rules then their IP won't get blocked and can remove IP ban by small fee which is better then Email verification.

3) I don't find any difficulty while using the forum if you think the screen it not pleased you can use darktheme addon in your website while can make the interface completely different.

4) Already we have notification to our email when there is activity on your forum account like you will get notification of PM,deleted replies and comment in your thread.

1) KYC will never happen.

I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.

2) New forum software is in development. Release date is unknown.

3) Profile (link at top) -> Notifications and Email (link at left side)

Now your questions have been answered, please lock this thread (button at bottom left).

This system is anonymous,and anonymity remains key in keeping one safe in this network

I and 99% other users wouldn't give up our identity simply to come and post in here and read shitty threads like this one above@original post

Rather than blocking newly created accounts through IP addresses tracking, I would suggest that a thorough KYC should be done for newly registered members (such as email and ID verification) as some of my friends are having issues posting on this forum due to IP address blacklisting. It fustrates the hell out of new comers and are being told to pay a certain amount of bitcoin to release their accounts

Please search before you make these suggestions. KYC is never going to happen nor should it:

I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.

IPs are only blocked once they've been abused and you (or someone else) has had accounts banned on them previously. If you don't want to pay a fee then find a different proxy or connection that isn't blacklisted.

Take for instance, i can easily open several accounts here using invalid emails but if there's an option of email verification, then there'll be a reduction to a considerable extent the level of abuse by some folks.

I wouldn't be against email verification and think it probably would help, but this can also be easily bypassed.

2) This might seem like I'm getting ahead of myself but i think it would be nice if we have a bitcointalk forum application for better user experience as some users don't find this interphase pleasing to their eyes, I've had a complaint from some of my friends concerning this recently.

There's a new forum software in development: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=167.0

3) Bitcointalk should have a feature of notifying users of current happenings on their account via registered email.
This is no doubt will keep users abreast of new messages, replies, and other activities on their account without necessarily logging in to their account.

You can already get notifications to your email for messages.

Hi all, I am Mike, a crypto enthusiast and i  recently admitted the fact that one of the addictions of mine recently is this platform, this forum has always been a the priority of most crypto experts to get trending news and announcements amount the current happening in the crypto market, however, its so saddening that most of us are restricted to perform such specific tasks which makes it frustrating at times to interact here, I hereby come up with some suggestions to make the platform a better one and more user friendly to crypto folks, kindly check them out;

I'm sorry but direct blocking through IP shouldn't be the right measure to deal with issues like this.

BITCOINTALK FORUM IS MY FAVOURITE CRYPTO WEBSITE AND I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IF THE DEVELOPERS CAN MAKE SOME OF THESE IMPROVEMENT (IF NOT ALL) AS SUGGESTED.
Thanks and have a nice day ya"ll.
