Plus at this point, why the need for an alternative wallet instead of the one which's code is being constantly evaluated.

When PPC first came out there was only the daemon... this was just a GUI overlay and aid to setting up ur PPC wallet for those not familiar with daemons.. but agreed this project has become somewhat redundant atm Sad

I think there's just too many alt coins

the average bitcoiner doesn't even know the benefits or weaknesses of them let alone the purpose

Yeah I agree, I don't think the average BTC user knows about other coins... or if they do... they have limited knowledge of the advantages, differences etc of the alt currencies.... I was going to try and start a thread for the Alternate Currencies and where to get the wallet, a little about each currency, what you can do with the currency, and any useful info or links for each alt chain... maybe even i'll host an uptodate blockchain for each currency to so people can get the blockchain easily if anyone having issues etc (just done this for LQX). hopefully then we can keep track of Alt currencies etc and who is the creator etc and the benefits of each currency then people can make informed decisions on what to mine and invest in... I have started but will be a while collating links and info etc

My stats from my hosting company showed that some 30+ downloads have happened... but no one ever gave any feedback or asked questions so I assume probably not Sad I know the "open source" element shows a level of trustworthyness which is why I included all code in the zip file, but any other suggestions? do i need to change my coding language? sorry my experience is in VB and c#

Apparently not, just like my Vanitygen for Android. People just don't trust these.

I have released a 0.2 version which contains the upgrade ppcoin 0.2 version...

Source files downloaded here: http://ppcointalk.org/PPCWalletWindows/PPC_Wallet_for_Windows_0.2.0.6.zip

Also in this update...

You can define your username and password for your config file...
You can select the file directory for the ppcoind.exe process (allowing both x64 and x32 OS to use the PPCoin Wallet for Windows)

Soon to come...
Full control over the ppcoin.conf setting allowing mining through the wallet and many other features
Better Display of info on your wallet like number of coins in existance, coins waiting to be confirmed as mined "Newmint"
Full display of the transaction history (not just those waiting for confirmations)

Many thanks and watch for the new releases!! and please report bugs here or on www.ppcointalk.org
