FreeDAG MissionEthereum was supposed to change the world ... The DAG system itself and smart contracts were supposed to become a full-fledged decentralized alternative to classic business processes. And it seems to be quite successful, but...
Close collaboration with government and corporate regulators has led to a point where we no longer feel secure using the Ethereum network. Modern systems of deep traffic analysis allow to easily track both transactions and the usual entrance to the wallet, especially when the owners of the network can provide them with this information.
And it might not be a bad thing. At a minimum, this allows you to calculate scammers. But we would like to always have a "spare bay", with working smart contracts, with untraceable wallets and preferably with a suitable infrastructure. Naturally, with all the advantages of Ethereum, which we do not question. Therefore, it was decided to create a clone of Ethereum, but with the ability to work completely in the TOR and I2P networks.

Platform InfrasructureWe want to create not only the platform itself, like Ethereum, but also the minimum necessary infrastructure for it.
What will go to the FreeDAG infrastructure:
FreeDAG local wallet (TOR/I2P support)
FreeDAG web wallet (Clearnet only)
FreeDAG mobile wallet (Clearnet only)
FreeDAG token exchange (Etherdelta fork, located in the I2P network )
FreeDAG blockexplorer (Etherscan fork, TOR/I2P support)
Migration tool for dAPPs
I2P featuresOur wallet can work in three modes.
- Normal mode. Connection with other ordinary nodes is supported, with private nodes through available gateways, the speed of data reception / transmission is maximum.
- Private mode. The connection with private nodes in the selected network (TOR / i2p) is supported and it supports limited connection with ordinary nodes through gateways. Data transfer rates are minimal, privacy is maximized.
- Gateway mode. Supports connection with all nodes, is a gateway to the regular Internet for the selected network.
For the normal functioning of private nodes, the network must have at least three nodes operating in gateway mode. Why? Because this is the only way, we can ensure sufficient speed of private nodes functioning without using external gateways of the TOR and i2p networks.
But how do we motivate people to turn on gateway mode on their wallets? The simplest solution that was proposed by the author of the FreeDAG idea is that stacking will work only when working in gateway mode.
It looks very simple and straightforward. You use the wallet in gateway mode, a bunch of data from the TOR and i2p networks passes through your device, for which you receive a reward for network support.
But then a problem arose. If we just hardcode enabling stacking only when the gateway mode is enabled, any more or less qualified user can change this value in the source code and compile a fully functional wallet without the requirement for stacking.
Accordingly, this will already be a problem for ordinary users, who can be slipped virtually anything under the guise of such a wallet.
Therefore, we temporarily abandoned this decision. FreeDAG wallet now starts in default gateway mode. To change the mode, you can use the settings menu, or launch the wallet with the following parameters:
Freedag-cli gw=0 net=0 – Normal mode
Freedag-cli gw=0 net=i2p – Privacy mode (i2p)
Freedag-cli gw=0 net=tor – Privacy mode (TOR)
Premine and presaleThe presale is held only from March 21 to April 25.
Premine is completely dependent on the presale and will be fully transferred to buyers immediately at the start of the main chain.
We also adhere to the "Fair Purchase" rule. To calculate the number of transferred coins, we use two rates of ETH and BTC, at the time of purchase and at the time of launching the chain.
If at the time of the chain launch, the ETH and BTC rates are higher than at the time of purchase, we use the value at the time of the chain launch.
If at the time of the chain launch, the ETH and BTC rates are lower than at the time of purchase, we use the value at the time of purchase.
All funds received from the presale will be used for listing on cryptocurrency exchanges and for the initial support of FreeDAG.
