Every market have a random cycle. So it is really hard to predict since there is no actual pattern. From my experience in trading (option trading), it is best to manage your winners. If there is a rally try to sell because the probability of price going down gets higher, which is mostly true in extreme occasions.
It had crashed a bit due to Christmas - people were selling BTC to buy gifts and stuff. My psychic powers say it's gonna be going up in the next few weeks/months back to $1000.

@OP looks like a nice idea to predict the future anyways your crystal ball is not working very well as you said 
IMO I think bitcoin's price will drop to around $450 in the next 2 or 3 weeks. The current pattern is showing a very typical financial bubble that is still in the process of bursting. After the bubble has completely burst it will rise again, probably starting in late January, to around $900 around early March. However, you can throw all of this out the window if a G20 country makes it illegal like China did.

After posting that I saw the flaw in my statement. It assumes all your current wealth is in BTC. :-) Merry Christmas.
If I make a prediction about the price it seems to do the opposite 50% of the time.

If anyone knows when Bitcoin is going to crash and recover, please let me know so I can invest appropriately. My crystal ball isn't working very well today.
