I think this was more appropriate to post in the Altcoin Discussion board than here. Here's a summary of what's a prediction market and you can see also in this link the problems they face and other alternatives of Augur. I had Augur Prediction Market bookmarked many months ago, haven't really used it before. I guess why I haven't really tried it yet is to verify it claim to be decentralized Prediction Market. I kind of like what I heard about it but I don't want to be disappointed hence ignoring it for now

I just remembered that there was an specific project (Augur?) with alt-coins that intended to make a platform for "prediction markets".

A market is, in essence, just a group of people (or robots) buying and selling things. This can be physical goods as in a grocery store, services as in Uber, or financial assets as in the stock market.

I wonder if any of you has had any experience using the platform or the token and how the results may vary depending on the general alt-coin market, that is, even if winning a bet will actually give you a decent result if the value of the coin drops in that market cycle.
The few times I went there I didn't find anything interesting to bet on there, unfortunately the platform is empty and deserted. There are only few markets available and since it uses Ethereum you will have to pay high fees.
