In this case Man City is the party who benefits because Kevin de Bruyne return coincides with Mo Salah long absence. And for the party that is slightly disadvantaged, Liverpool needs to be able to overcome Mo Salah absence in any way. In the last match Nunez was Liverpool substitute and savior to maintain the point difference from Man City. But because 1 month is quite a long time it means that there are 3 to 4 matches that have to be played without Mo Salah and this is clearly not something that is easy for Liverpool to go through. The 5 point difference is not the problem but Liverpool consistency is at stake without a capable striker. I don't doubt Liverpool players but Mo Salah presence is vital in every victory they achieve.

indeed a loss for Liverpool. but it seems like Klopp doesn't want to make it a burden for the team to face several opponents. and several matches seem to have been successfully passed. they won 0-2 from Arsenal. they won 2-1 from Fulham. and finally won 0-4 against Bournemouth.
Klopp still has several player options on the front line with a combination of Gakpo, Nunez, Jota, Luis Diaz, and Elliot. Even though Salah is very important for the team, when he can't play then Klopp has to maximize the existing players. They cannot give up City's pursuit, which still has 1 match.
It's true that I also saw that Jurgen Klopp was able to overcome the absence of M. Salah, who had to be absent because he was playing for the Egyptian national team and also because M. Salah was also absent from his national team due to a minor injury.
Klopp has proven that he can overcome the absence of M. Salah by still being able to give Liverpool victory in these 3 matches, where Liverpool are still productive in scoring goals. This is also the answer that Liverpool's front line is still quite sharp. M. Salah's figure is indeed important, but Liverpool does have other strikers who can be relied on when M. Salah is absent. So I feel that Liverpool will continue their winning trend even without M. Salah. The same thing happened at Man City because they have played several matches without Haaland. But they still look strong. And yes, this is the same as Liverpool, which still looks strong even without M. Salah.

You are right, because I think when M. Sallah moved to Egypt for the Afcon, I thought he would affect them in there matches, but Klopp proved without him they can still win the premier league title, Liverpool are performing great and I think they will do anything possible to get the trophy this season, Manchester City are just waiting for Liverpool to mistakenly drop point and lead the league table, because I don't think Manchester City get any players that move to Afcon that will make them worry. Guadiola's players are back, and Klopp will do his utmost to win matches because I believe Manchester City will not lose any points this time because the league is coming to as end and they will do possible to win all there matches.

Haaland is not Manchester City's problems. Even without Haaland, Manchester City wins matches but when Rodri is absent and de Bruyne is absent, Manchester City loses matches and draws, but now that de Bruyne is back, you will notice that Manchester City cannot perform well without de Bruyne and Rodri, and without de Bruyne I do not believe Haaland can score many goals and become the highest goal scorer. When Manchester City plays Newcastle and they are leading Manchester City by one goal, Guadiola just replaces De Bruyne and they make a comeback, you will notice that without De Bruyne, Manchester City cannot generate many wins in the team.

Perhaps you are right and Man City could indeed soon take the top spot in the EPL... There was a similar situation last season when Arsenal were top of the standings and the gap was more than 10 points... At that time it was hard to believe that Man City would move them... I also think that now history may repeat itself...
Yeah of a truth I had a strong feeling that Manchester city  history may likely repeat itself again this season because of there performance during the early time of the season but it was not long Kelvin de Bruyne had an injury so it affected there performance which made them to drop on the league table but however considering how Manchester City has been able to start peaking up there performance because of the returning of Kelvin de Bruyne so perhaps there is a good chance that Manchester City may likely lead the premier League season ones again even if Liverpool has more points than Manchester City but with time they will surely come up but if only they are able to maintain there consistent wining.

Manchester City will get easy opponent next week because at home Manchester City only fight against weak team Burnley and not required to analysis more because we all know Burnley is very weak this season and their chances to relegated and return to championship division is quite high so this match is very easy for Manchester City because it's near to impossible for them to lost from this match especially De Bruyne have already in the team so although Haaland conditions is still uncertain but i think without him Manchester City still able to win this match

And for Liverpool on Premier League they will gets tough opponent Chelsea next week but i don't think this is hard match for them because we all know Chelsea this season was very unstable and recently i have checked Chelsea records and during this season for away matches Chelsea have already lost 5 times so these records is proven Chelsea have a problem when they playing at their opponents home ground moreover now they will playing at Anfield and in Premier League Liverpool is still unbeatable at there so i think Liverpool will be able to overcomes Chelsea

I simply expect Manchester City to win any game they play because I'm scared of those teams too. Manchester City has turned into a team that all opponents fear; they have talented players who can score goals with strength and agility, so why can't any opponent be afraid of them? Since Kelvin DE Bruyne returned to Manchester City, everything has changed, and I've also heard that Haaland is back training with the team. Given the danger posed by players like Haaland and de Bruyne, I believe that Manchester City should be playing like they did last season.

Regarding Liverpool, I don't think they'll make a comeback because they are currently atop the league table and won't allow anything to get in the way of them. Their most recent performance, in which they played without Mohamed Salah but still defeated Bournemouth 4–0, shows that they are beginning to learn how to play without Salah, which is a good thing because depending on him will hurt them. Speaking of Chelsea and Liverpool, did you think Chelsea could defeat Liverpool? Liverpool is not Chelsea mate, even when it comes to performance, so I don't think Chelsea will defeat Liverpool, if Liverpool doesn't win Chelsea can't win the game.

it will surprise you
what Manchester city will display in this game that will give their opponent  Burnley to win the game because sometimes they can misbehaving to allow the weak team to use all their strength to stop them not to achieve victory than to lose at the end.

Liverpool will not allow what happened in their first leg in the premier league game to happen in this second leg because many things have changed positively with Liverpool which they have the ability to beat Chelsea 4:1 in this game without allow draw game to occur again.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Liverpool was able to beat Arsenal in Emirates Stadium without Salah, while Chelsea is currently struggling, they can't even beat Middlesbrough aka a championship team.

Manchester City might able to overtake Liverpool, but they're also have a problem as Ederson Moraes is injured.

I'd say both Liverpool and Manchester City are equal.
When Salah is not around Liverpool will have a hard time? I think that's wrong, I agree with your statement that Liverpool can beat Arsenal in the next few weeks these are equal teams, but we have a favorite team so we support Liverpool of course.

Chelsea is still not confirmed optimal despite 3 wins in the EPL, beating Middlesbrough is also difficult so other EPL teams will be difficult to beat.

I think that Liverpool and Man City are among the candidates for the title this season, I rule out Arsenal.

Manchester City will need to continue their winning streak if they want to regain the top spot in the points table. Otherwise, it will not be possible for City to go to the top of the table. Because at the moment, the performance of City's main opponent, Liverpool, is very consistent. Mohamed Salah is injured. It is not known when he will return from injury. On February 1 and 4, Liverpool are going to face Premier League's two giants team Chelsea and Arsenal. It will be very difficult for Liverpool to win these two matches without Salah. So I think if City can keep up their winning streak now then it might be possible for City to take the top spot in the table.

Although there is a point gap between Liverpool and Manchester City but yes, basically even though Manchester City is currently in second place but that does not mean Manchester City has completely lost the chance to be able to take over the top position currently occupied by Liverpool. But indeed, even though Liverpool play with and without Salah, basically Liverpool can still play well but ya, at least there are still concerns for Liverpool to get bad results from time to time. Therefore, I personally remain confident that Manchester City still have a chance to return to the top position but indeed, it still won't be easy at all because we also realize that Liverpool at this moment still look very consistent.

History like this could indeed happen again with Manchester City, especially since currently the point gap between Manchester City and Liverpool is currently very close even though Manchester City is still one game behind Liverpool and other rivals. Now the battle for position in the top four zone is starting to look fierce, especially for three teams such as Manchester City, Arsenal and Aston Villa. Meanwhile, it is still possible for Tottenham to join in the struggle for position in the zone even though Tottenham are still three points behind Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea would be a tight one. Over the years, this fixture has always ended in a draw. Chelsea might not be in a great form but anytime they face Liverpool, I don’t know but they always pull up a good performance. I’m sure this time won’t be different from the other fixtures, because they are playing a bit better now and scoring goals.
I think Manchester city will be hoping that Liverpool drops some point against Chelsea so they can get closer. Manchester City will easily beat Burnley next week in order to draw closer to Liverpool on the table. Burnley are struggling and I don’t see anyhow they’ll deny Manchester city their 3 points.

I agree and it is clear that Liverpool has more strength than just competing with Manchester City because they are always consistent. Moreover, last night's win against Bournemouth also proved their consistency and surprisingly Liverpool were always able to win through the goals they scored in the second half. Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota scored all the goals in last night's match and each of these players recorded a brace. Currently, Liverpool is increasingly comfortable at the top of the standings with 48 points and is 5 points away from Manchester City.

Arsenal will not be able to be like the two teams above them because they are struggling to maintain 5 good results without losing and it looks like we will see Arsenal experience something similar to the previous season. We will definitely not be surprised if we see these results later.
Only Manchester City has a chance to compete with Liverpool for the title this season because these two teams are much more consistent and have players who are much better prepared to compete with each other for the title. A five-point lead will be more comfortable for Jurgen Klopp even though Manchester City has not yet played its 21st match and he just needs to maintain consistency when facing big matches such as against Chelsea or Arsenal.

If these two matches can end with a win for Liverpool then their chances of becoming champions this season will be even wider. The reason is that for Liverpool's next match it will be easier to face Manchester City at Anfield because the remaining matches against Manchester United and Tottenham will be much easier for them to achieve victory.

It's quite strange if we look at the results of the Brighton vs Wolves match which ended without a single goal and maybe many of those who bet on this match have also lost money. We know that Brighton is very reliable as a host and it has been proven that they control 71% of ball possession but for shots on target it is not much different from Wolves. But it's true that Wolves, who came as the visiting team, also don't want to lose in this match and at least they will aim for points even though they have to commit a lot of fouls. The referee gave a total of 4 yellow cards to the Wolves players and that was enough proof that they would not let Brighton freely break into their goal.

This result makes Brighton sit in 7th position in the standings after only sharing one point with Wolves and they have the same points as Manchester United. Meanwhile, Wolves failed to steal full points to be able to shift Newcastle in the standings. Apart from all that, the important thing is that both teams played quite well even though it was a bit boring.

As I said yesterday, I have always been afraid of such matches, the risk was too high and we saw a surprising result. I really didn't think we wouldn't score a goal in this match. It was a little more predictable that the match would end in a draw, but I did not expect a result like this 0-0.
I am sure that many bettors lost money because of this match, and this was the risky and surprising match of this week Cheesy
I'm actually really excited about this match considering that both H2Hs always produce quite a few goals. Moreover, both Brighton and Wolves are targeting full points but unfortunately both teams couldn't do what I expected. It is true that even if there is a draw there should be goals scored but instead there are none at all and if one of them scored first the match would definitely be more exciting because it would be a score back and forth to turn the situation around.

It is certain that many bettors have lost money and perhaps even if there are those who bet on the under goal result, it is very small. It looks like both teams have to learn how to maximize opportunities and should be more open to implementing new strategies if they have more time.

Liverpool continues to show a positive trend, this week they were able to appear superior by beating Bournemouth 4-0. These additional three points are of course very good for Klopp to continue to maintain his first position in the standings.

This season, Liverpool has really returned to the right track, the Reds' opportunity to win the title again is very open. I feel quite optimistic about Klopp's formulation with several of his front players who continue to make a big contribution, such as Nunez. I think Liverpool will be very focused even though they are always under pressure from Manchester City, but I see that this season the performance of Guardiola's troops is a bit lower than last season.
Hahaha Klopp is very enthusiastic about bringing Liverpool to continue to be at the top of the standings and Liverpool will continue to try to have consistent and much more stable performance because if there is even the slightest mistake then Manchester City clearly has chance to take over the top of the standings.
Liverpool must always be careful and try to minimize the occurrence of mistakes, it would be very dangerous if Liverpool made fatal mistake.

Yes, Liverpool has very big chance of winning the title this season but it is still very dangerous if they are satisfied with the achievements they have achieved.
Manchester City will be able to carry out the same momentum as last season when they kicked Arsenal from the top of the standings.
In the future, only Manchester City can make Liverpool fall at any time if they make mistake and Pep and all his players are waiting for that momentum.

Man City are favourites and I think most Liverpool fans accept that. We are just enjoying being back in a title race after a poor season in 22/23.

Salah will be back in max one month. We are lucky to have four other attackers who can more than keep us in the race. Luis Diaz, Nunez, Jota and Gakpo will keep us firing, I have no doubt about that. We have the best striker depth in the league, even better than Man City (squad depth).

I think we are stronger than Arsenal, the title is between Liverpool and Man City.

Liverpool is stronger than Arsenal no doubt and i also agree that Liverpool have the best striker depth in the league performance wise because all Liverpool attackers are involved in goal scoring and are very good counter attacking players.

Manchester City being the favorites I wouldn’t agree about that, i thought they were the favorites when the league started but injury hit them and they began to struggle just like every other team, it could be as result of lack of adequate squad depth. They are points away from Liverpool and if they were up against Arsenal i would not give up on them but Kloop is a very stubborn coach to challenge in situations like this so I have all hopes high for Liverpool.

Manchester City are still one of the best clubs in the season thus far. But they still need to score more matches before they can overtake Liverpool. 43 points beneath of the 48 points that Liverpool is carrying at the top of the table standing. The last 6 matches played by them were all wins and no lose at all.
Overtaking Liverpool would mean Liverpool would have to lose their matches and Manchester City winning theirs which is very unlikely to happen, Liverpool are already sighting the trophy from afar so they will be more focused and serious to win it than ever.
It is not about sighting the league title from a far, it is about delivering when it matters. Liverpool has 5 points advantage at the moment and Manchester City has a game in hand which if they win the lead will reduce to two points. If you check Manchester City has had their important players out for long and this second half of the season they are coming back from injuries. Had it been that the point deficit was like 8 or 9 points then I would have believed it would be difficult given the rate Liverpool are playing but I can tell you for fact that Liverpool will drop points and Manchester City will overtake them in the table.

Perhaps you are right and Man City could indeed soon take the top spot in the EPL... Manchester City still has one game postponed against Brentford and it looks like it will be difficult for Brentford to beat City so it could be said that City's point difference with Liverpool is only two points and that's a small point difference so anything is possible especially if Liverpool don't maintain their performance but so far Liverpool managed to handle the match well after two draws which were quite detrimental because they lost four points, also Mohammad Salah's absence was still handled well because they managed to get full points without the presence of this key player, Darwin Nunez, who scored a goal in the match against Bournemouth, will try to become a more productive striker so that his team can get full points and become champions of the English Premier League this season. so this will be a tight competition because City also looks like they are starting to perform well when KDB returns to the field.

Don't rush yet until City win their match, the difference between them and Liverpool is 5 points, when City win then we will talk about two points. Liverpool played without Salah and did very well, and now Salah is returning to Liverpool, but he was injured and looks set to miss at least a month to recover, so Liverpool will still have to play without him for a while. De Bruyne returned to the game, and Liverpool lost Salah for a while, football injuries are not uncommon here.

Brighton is a successful team at home, but they could not reflect what they wanted in the Wolves match. I was surprised that there was no goal in the match because we are generally used to watching goals in the Premier League. I think many bettors had problems when the match ended 0-0. I think most people thought there would be a goal in the match. This result surprised me as we are used to better performances from Brighton.

On February 1 and 4, Liverpool are going to face Premier League's two giants team Chelsea and Arsenal. It will be very difficult for Liverpool to win these two matches without Salah. So I think if City can keep up their winning streak now then it might be possible for City to take the top spot in the table.
