I read this and found out that it is fake news.

This is news in May as far as I know and I did bit felt excited since I never thought that our president would be saying such things, despite the fact that this is fake news, I don't think that our president would be onboard with the idea of letting their people use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies normally, daily. Still, let's be vigilant and be careful, there are a lot of fake news out there.

Yup! I really felt excited too upon seeing this article and Bitcoin can surely be a great help in the midst of the pandemic that is happening right now and many people in our country is needing all the help they can get and my opinion Bitcoin Lifestyle is a great thing for advance traders and newbie traders alike,

I guess it is time to surely lock this thread many might saw and mislead them in believing such things exist.

@YuginKadoya - You are already Legendary member, but it seems that you can easily fall for this kind of trick.

The Philippine DOF (Department of Finance) already give a warning about it last month.

DOF warns public vs bogus cryptocurrency platform

Quote
The Department of Finance (DOF) has warned the public about fake news and malicious misinformation alleging that the Philippines is creating “a platform for the citizens of the Philippines to start generating income with cryptocurrency.”

Peddlers of such fake news have alleged in an article that the government has created a platform called “Bitcoin Lifestyle” and that President Duterte “is urging all citizens of Philippines to learn about Bitcoin Lifestyle quickly to get involved.”

“There is no such effort by the government,” Finance assistant secretary Antonio Joselito Lambino II said.

“We categorically deny that there is such a move, and warn the public against potentially harmful financial transactions with those behind the article,” added Lambino, who is DOF spokesman and head of its Strategy, Economics and Results Group (SERG).

The fake news also suggested that “The Government of Philippines asserts that tax revenues (from Bitcoin Lifestyle) will be huge and will benefit all citizens, and most of it will go to the financing of Philippines’s retirement and to counteract the crisis of learning support services.”

“This is false. We urge the public to exercise caution in their investments, and to keep their expectations of returns realistic,” the Lambino said.

Lambino also urged the public to report similarly suspicious investment schemes to the Enforcement and Investor Protection Department of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with telephone number 8818-5704.

“We warn unscrupulous individuals and groups attempting to lure the public into unauthorized and deceptive investment schemes that the government is monitoring the public space for such schemes, and will take appropriate legal and regulatory action,” he added.

I may be a Legendary but does a rank should be immune to certain things like this? and upon posting this I am certainly getting info in the forum as well and my judgment was clouded by excitement and upon not reviewing any news sites and currently not watching TV for main media content, I really don't know the current news nowadays,

But I have searched for Bitcoin Lifestyle platform and one review had said that according to some testimonies that the site is really trustworthy, the bot trading is still too good to be true,

But again I will just lock this thread after an hour and move on to certain things that may be truly helpful in the forum and other things that needed it most.

Truly Sorry for misleading anyone that had seen my thread and will further review any article that I have came upon from now on.

Haha its really a fake news. I believe that there is no such website that can provide us a legal and trust news using that shitty domain. Be careful of what we see on the internet. Everything looks awful and full of nonsense things. Even wikipedia can provide us false knowledge. OP should delete the thread or people will misunderstand everything. President Duterte is the most conservative person I have ever know and I believe that it may take many years for him to understand bitcoin and the crypto-system. He will never let his people using such precious invention of the 21st century

Is this a legit article? Acquiring bitcoin in a specific country would be great because it helps in terms of finances. I tried searching other articles about this but I can't see even only one, so I don't think that this information is true, the Philippines has so many problems and they are still suffering from the pandemic virus, so accepting bitcoin would be a great help for them by I don't think that it would be easy to implement the use of bitcoin in the Philippines because as we all know the Philippines is a third-class country adopting that kind of technology would be not easy for them.
I saw that so called article I think it was yesterday. It looks like in a news format style, I mean anybody can do that kind of format nowadays. I read through the first paragraphs and I said interesting, but immediately got off my tracks when it mentioned like a company then it came to me that this is not an article but a form of advertisement for the bitcoin company. Then came the realization that this is not a real news article but a gimmick to make people join that project.
Great observation, they are just doing that kind of information so the the use of hicoin would be more known by other different countries.

Basically these news are aiming at one particular point overall, they want to hype bitcoin current price through this means which won't go well if it happens. Although, these news are good news but fake, why would you fake a news just to push the price of Bitcoin?. Fake news can only do more harm than anyone will think. That aside, scam projects through Bitcoin has been everywhere and let newborns be more careful about this recent happenings not yo fall for their tricks.

The Philippine President had signed an agreement  in taking a big step towards technology, and I think this may surely change the way the Philippines with its technology, currency, and monetary system and I think this is a big leap for the Philippines and for the Bitcoin market as well,

A platform called Bitcoin Lifestyle that generates automatic income with cryptocurrency trading, what can you say about this will it innovate the Philippines further? and may help the Filipino people in the midst of the pandemic? In my opinion, I am pretty excited about this here is the link for further information.

Bitcoin Lifestyle

If this is even true, this should be aired in the National Television of the Philippines but seeing it as an article only on a website that has no protection, I can say that this is fake. First of all, the President of the Philippines is taking care of other matters and would not really tackle Cryptocurrency at first. Maybe the Department of Finance will take it into consideration but having the President have a say on this is really questionable.

It seems that's the only article that you have found saying that Pres. Duterte is pushing people to learn about bitcoin.

But as I search on google, there are no other articles that shows this kind of news and instead of urging and pushing, the results showed about warning to the public regarding cryptocurrency scams.

There were no news circulating here in the Philippines saying President Rodrigo Duterte urging its citizens to learn Bitcoin. In fact, the current administration is skeptic on using one.

I want to reiterate, "President Duterte is not promoting Bitcoin or even urging its citizens to learn". These hype may cause misconception towards the member of this forum. So, again not true...

However, I heard this fake news last March 2020...
Its kinda odd to know that you didn`t barely recognized the validity and credibility of such information, it must be shown to you as you are very considered Legendary in this forum.
That being said, before sharing content to the public, make sure you have lots of resources and valid output.

This kind of stuff is really bad for Bitcoin and crypto in general. I know that there is a saying that "there is no such thing as bad publicity" but in this case I think this is really bad publicity. In the last few months general public (and by that I mean "regular" people, not crypto enthusiasts) could read only negative news about Bitcoin. Every few days some new scam shows up.

Wow, I am happy to see that there's actually a country, especially the Philippines, that starts to take action with Bitcoin and Blockchain. The future of Blockchain is widely open, it has so many conveniences, I'm not saying it's perfect but having using Bitcoin or Blockchain technology can solve a lot of things easily rather than using the old technology. After all, what is a new technology for if we don't use it, am I right?
I hope that this system will succeed or at least accepted by people in Philippines, which would be the open gate for other countries to follow.

Nothing lasts forever
What's going on with all the bitcoin promotion lately. I have seen quite a few threads related to bitcoin promotion since morning.
But reading the above comments shows that the above news is just fake.
I guess people are hyping up bitcoin again. I will recommend all the users not to believe any bitcoin promotion related articles and do a thorough research before buying any such news. Bitcoin is already doing quite well so in my opinion there's no such need to advertise bitcoin by going out of the box.
