Nah, he doesn't need escrow to prove he has access to CT. Just get a sample article published (client can choose) via CT's Wordpress, make it a private link so that it's only accessible by password. Share the private url and password, proof enough.
Easier still, give your referral or discount code to clients, so they sign up directly and pay to CT, CT gives you your commission.
No content site does escrow anyway. Client pays up first.
