Well I am still doing my research on it, I won’t jump into conclusions saying it’s a botted account influenced hashtag. It’s still unclear to me what the purpose of the hashtag and how it would benefit those who staged it.

Trending hashtag will help scammers get eyeballs to fake 'uniswap hacked' tweet. People will think uniswap was hacked, to stop their wallets from getting drained they will go to fake revoke cash website, give approval and get their wallet drained.

Either it be true or false this goes to show anyone that taking information or trends the see serious at first and act on it immediately can be dangerous.

Thanks for sharing. This is another way to spread FUD and now the other manipulators will have the idea on how they can make other project down based on the market that they have. Honestly, this is quite new to me despite all of the FUD that I'm seeing, I mean the strategy of how they can spread the false news like wildfire. That's why in every news that we're seeing whether it's from a reputable publisher or not, we all need to validate and verify if the details are correct and accurate. Especially that we're about to enter in the bull run, culprits might just do this trick for the projects that they think as a competitor to the project that they're working on or just want to fail.

Never believe in social media news. Most of the time they are fake. I am not suprised that scammers were able to trend this hashtag. In the past they were able to hack accounts of celebrities. A lot needs to be changed by the new owner. The biggest issue on Twitter is fake news. We might have seen this happening for a DEX but it is quite common on that platform. A lot fake news was trended during the time of pandemic. Some of you might remember those incidents.

Thank you for sharing this but for me --this is not new when it comes to this social media like Twitter and Telegram.
As far as I know, if I am right Twitter has implemented measures to detect and remove fake accounts, and has also rolled out a verification process for high-profile accounts to help users identify right or legit sources of information --and also Twitter has partnered with the various organizations to promote digital literacy and raise awareness about scams and other forms of fraudulent activity.
Better to stay away from those airdrops and bounties that lead to this scam attempt.

Twitter is the most dangerous place for any crypto investors vs Telegram, on Telegram you are going go get PMed and that's purely wrong and suspicious but on Twitter, you really can't tell the difference some times...
In the past, I participated in social media bounties here and that had me experiencing so many obvious scam projects, false airdrops and promotions. Like you said, it's easier to identify scams on Telegram than on Twitter but both are headquarters of fraud. Yes,scammers are often in a haste on Telegram, so their impatience will make them private chat their targets and that's a red flag. On Twitter, scammers just drop links and then wait for their traps to catch their preys. They don't rush. For me, I don't take anything crypto investment or giveaway on Twitter seriously any more.

Phishing accounts, botted followers, botted RTs and promote phishing website of solution.

I remember this when I'm in my NFT era, I like engaging in twitter but there's so many fake promoter that copying someone's influencer. Be careful with this because this kind of scam have many victims. Check they're information, website before entering address or something else related to your important details

thankyou for reminding this issue OP <3

Oh that's actually relatable, I've also NFT era mostly of the projects get whitelist from twitter with certain events and mechanics. Not only the project itself has a fake account but also the mods and team itself. They copied their information sending you got "you got whitelist you have only 24 hours to follow the instructions" newbies wouldn't even double check it as they rush to follow the instruction since its hard to get whitelist that way in the twitter. Also the mint date where there's a lot of fake website even their social media account could get hacked and post fake links for minting.

Twitter need some answering to do, this platform doesn't care about nailing fake links and impersonators, honestly, Twitter is the most dangerous place for any crypto investors vs Telegram, on Telegram you are going go get PMed and that's purely wrong and suspicious but on Twitter, you really can't tell the difference some times, you need to watch your steps carefully and think before making any move, this is bad, I have blocked 100s of accounts tagging me for fake airdrops on Twitter and it's still counting, I may have to shut down my Twitter account in the end, this is getting too much and find other ways to stay informed about the projects that I am monitoring and following, I know these scammers are everywhere, even on Facebook and Discord but Twitter is too much.

Be careful with following trends. It will always be a problem if you don't know what you are looking at. Many malicious and evil people lurk and automate what they do. That's why it's best to be vigilant.

Thanks for sharing OP.
