You should never count on the fact that the same username on different platforms means the same user; don't assume anything if you want to avoid (bad) surprises.
To me, that's common sense and I don't see how anyone would just assume, without verifying, that the same username is associated with the same person cross-platform--especially if there's a business deal involved.

There was someone impersonating me on telegram a while back, which prompted me to add a message on my bitcointalk profile and I know mine was definitely not the first case of that happening.  I think it's a common scam tactic in general, and it seems to happen with bitcointalk members quite a bit.  Glad no one got burned in this case, and props to OP for warning the community.

Your Telegram Name is different than your username. It would be better if you changed your name and keep it as Shasan instead.
My username on the forum and username on the telegram almost same. telegram username @shasan32 as someone created @shasan before I created mine. And the name on telegram is different as I have used my real name because I have contact with a lot of people who is out of the forum. And you know name and username are not same thing, they are different. Also, any one can reach me easily if anyone want to reach my on telegram from the  forum. As I have used telegram link instead of username. Which will redirect directly to me, if anyone use the link I provided then they won't fall on the trap of scammer.

Dang bro! That's my bad. I was going to get fu**d up. I was searching for Shasan32 on telegram and I saw the Name says Shasan (Lending service) which you provide. But, I didn't notice that there is another additional 1 after shasan32. But, You are clever enough and you have saved me, bro. I would like to suggest to you one thing if you don't mind. In-forum names cannot be changed (under normal circumstances) and I would guess that the desired telegram handler is probably taken by somebody else.

What happened:: Pretending as me on telegram t.me/shasan321

Scammers Profile Link: t.me/shasan321

Additional Notes: t.me/Aksk121 sent me a message on telegram by saying that he is  naim027 I had talked once with naim027 over telegram but this time shows first time message. So, I was confused and searched on telegram then I saw real naim027 is another person then I and naim027 discovered that naim027 sent message to t.me/shasan321 who is a scammer. Who is pretending me as I am t.me/shasan32
I want to confirm that I have no other alternative telegram id and I never make any final deal on telegram. Also, I do not send message fast without confirming on the forum. Also, for any financial transaction I send/receive wallet id via forum. So, if anyone want to make any deal with you pretending me then stay away from that person as that is not mine that is operating by a scammer.
