As you know IEO trend is growing and first introduced Binance and now other exchanges also introducing IEO so in Binance Launchpad MATIC was good IEO.

It was a successful IEO yes, but can you point out why it was a good IEO?  Rather can you share to us why is MATIC a good project to invest in beside from the profit of being pump and dump?  After an IEO, where is Matic now in terms of its roadmap?  Kinda sad if the development of Matic is the same as what this video said.

In my estimate, not a majority of investors are technically-inclined to look into matters like this (which is very critical to say the least).

True, I used to be one of those who never looked into the dev's commit on their projects, I used to always look at how hype the project is and where it was held later to learn that it isn't the basis of a successful project.  Most that I invest in with this kind of thinking fail.

Maybe the best thing is to listen to reputable reviewers (if we can always find them during the crowdfunding stage) so we can be aware of any possible flaws and of course ascertain of the visible strengths as well.

That should be, but the problem is, only a few people review stuff accordingly  and maintain their reputable image.  Even majority of ICO reviews succumb to this "pay me I boost your project" scheme.

In short, people who wanted to invest on a project should not look only on where it was held, but also check their github repository since it is where the action of devs can be seen.  It is how code analyst check whether the team is capable of delivering the project or not.

No wonder many investors have no inkling of the project that they are supporting. It is always a must to see the github performance of whatever coins we wanted to invest in.  This is to know the dedication of developers in delivering their product.  I  have been following Chico Crypto channel because of his opposition and expose about certain famous projects and exchanges whenever he saw flaws.  In his recent release, he shows how these successful IEO github activities and let Bill Petridis check and explain them.

One of the thing that catches me is that they even shows TRON github and see the development of that project greatly improves, (he was negatively commenting on tron because of their code) and admits that it was an impressive development for that project.  Another thing that catches me is the Fetch AI project that, they were surprised that the code is very clean and does not have any bugs or bad codes ATM.  The rest.. is quite mediocre though they give reason that probably they are doing the development on their private repository but nevertheless any updates should be posted on the github so that other developer can check them if there is any bugs or malicious code in it.

Among those IEO I can say, those who bought FETCH AI are lucky because the DEV are very competent and hard working, and another note, at the later part of the video, they show ETH github and say that github of projects should be like that busy.  This statment of Bill moved me to buy more ETH  Grin.

In short, people who wanted to invest on a project should not look only on where it was held, but also check their github repository since it is where the action of devs can be seen.  It is how code analyst check whether the team is capable of delivering the project or not.
