Thanks, everyone! Yeah, I know about faked volumes, so I don't use it to see what's going on in terms of exchanges, but I did not know there were more popular alternatives. To check the price and only the price, I use preev, but in other cases, I'm just used to coinmarketcap. The website is working already, but perhaps you're right that I should turn to other websites like Coingecko (I checked it out, it seems nice and quite similar to coinmarketcap). I guess it was a sign  Cheesy I'll try to use it from now on, although it's not easy to fall out of habit. I'll lock the topic since I don't think there's anything left to discuss here.

That why it's not a bad idea to know good alternatives to CMC. Personally, i stopped using CMC a while back because of their stupid way of ranking exchanges that have faked volume.

I couldn't stand adding traffic to a website that highly ranks lots of unpopular and scam exchanges. Coingecko become my best alternative.

I second the opinion to use Coingecko, especially if you also want to check how liquid a trading pair on a specific exchange is. Their trust score and adjusted volume data are more reliable than CMC.

if you just want to check the bitcoin price then visit http://preev.com/ it is lighter and easier to see the price. and if you want bitcoin charts then use https://bitcoinwisdom.io/markets/bitstamp/btcusd it is a lot better and the charts are readable unlike the ones on CMC.
and like always stick to the exchanges for both price and charts if you want to trade specially altcoins.

That's unfortunate but i learnt is back up at the moment.I know most of you are familiar with Coingecko and Coinmarketcap but there is also another cryptocurrency price monitoring platform which several features than what these have. How about you all check it out, It's called Coinaprika. S
Maybe you mean coinpaprika.com, now there are already several sites to monitor prices and information about cryptocurrency, but what I often use is Coinmarketcap. I did not know that yesterday the coinmarketcap site was down, because when I visited it all was well.

Why do you even use this coinmarketcRap website?
All data there can be faked if you pay them some money, so you can list any scam thing you want.
Use some better alternative like CoinGecko

It's fine on my side but some users from Coinmarketcap telegram experience the same thing.
Try it again or install the coinmarketcap app as suggested above.

You can add CoinMarketcap to know the issue using this username @CoinMarketCap

If it still doesn't work better use the alternative one which is https://www.coingecko.com/en

Got the same. Havent used them for daily data on bitcoin for over a year now. Thought they changed their domain a while ago I dont know.
Does their app still work?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinmarketcap.android&hl=en

Checked their facebook and just an update 17 hours ago about a new listing on the site.
Usually a website would display something on their twitter if they had an outage of some sort.
I use coingecko for checking any data on coins and just noticed a new site coincap.
You can go to either of them and check to see if they display the same data as your usual site.
Good luck! Wink

So about an hour ago, I visited coinmarketcap to see a pleasant surprise with Bitcoin being almost $9k. I always use coinmarketcap.com for such purposes, because it has a lot of data accumulated from various places. Anyway, I refreshed the page just now and what I see is 404 Not Found error! I've never seen this website down before, but I also don't think it's normally 404 when a website's just down, right? I asked a friend to access it, and he got the same thing (but we have the same IP). It's interesting that Google gave me this website which tries to determine whether it's me or the website's down, and it says that coinmarketcap is actually up! So what is it for you, and what do you think it could mean if you also have 404 Not Found on your screen?
