Its actually rising now. Its currenly $580 at this moment. I think it will rise again in days. We cant expect that to rise instanly. So while waiting for it to rise, its the right time to buy some bitcoin.
I will so happy if this increase will continue until it can surpass the price before the halving, with the amount of $800 being reach for this month is a good time to celebrate already and I believe it is achievable at this moment since the price is getting closer from its rally going up.

$800 price is not easy to achieve at a moment and I think that we need to wait longer to see that price as price has gone below $600.

That is right. I think the $800 price could be achieved in October or even November. The price will trade around $600 now.

In the last two days bitcoin prices are falling. Should I sell my coins or should I wait. Will the falling trend continues and we will be again back to $450 or something?

I think you should sell your bitcoins, because everyone have the fear for felling the bitcoin's price and we can see it is down everyday, so better is that sell your bitcoins, instead of saving, actually if we hold our bitcoins and continuously price down so it is bad for us but if we sell our bitcoins so may be we are safe to get loss.

I think you should not YET sell it because we can't either know if the bitcoin price is falling and falling what if couple of days now it will keep high and higher. Just try to see if it always keep falling then if it's frequently falling then thats the time to sell your bitcoin . But it's up to you if you sell it now or not but to play safe sell it now Play safe Smiley

No one listen to these trolls. Probably doing it so they can buy cheaper coins.

The price has been dropping, yes, that's because of the halving. The same thing happened last halving. Also theres the problem with Bitfinex. The price will recover in time.

Actually this altcoin world has become so unpredictable that I think it might be irresponsible to recommend something about this issue, because you need to analyze your own convenience and economic interests before making any decision. It is well known that when you have a doubt during volatile market conditions, it is better to stay away from market and wait.

It seems like every time there's significant movement in the bitcoin price, this forum is swarmed with people not knowing what to do.  And it seems like I posted in a thread just like this one the other day.

Bitcoin is volatile.  If you can't stand the heat, get the F out of the kitchen--I'm a New Englander.

Why for the love of Mike would you want to sell any bitcoin whilst the price is falling? That is what weak-handed dribbling retards do, and that's why people lose money.  You need a set of brass balls to hold bitcoin, because there are going to be these enormous price swings.  Suck it up and get used to it.  And don't sell.

Sell if you believe it'll go further down. I don't think the price will experience a major crash though, I haven't seen anything (as in some bad news) that might make it happen.

Scratch that. Shit happened.
Anything could happen and that is normal in the crypto world, that is still on us, if we believe that the price will rise again then we should hold but this time we need more patience as we do not want selling our bitcoins at a loss.
We can't predict anything exactly at this moment, so it is good to hold the coins, hope it will not go down further.
yeah, it is impossible to predict the bitcoin price and it is really bad for me because i dont know if i can start buying or if the price is going to be dropping more

I will buy as much bitcoins as I can now, and continue to hold, last time I bought at $400 and sold at 775, so my money gained almost 95% in value, I guess I won't make that much this time, but at least I will make some profit.
It might already be too late! Embarrassed The price has bounced back to $570 in the last 3 hours so it is settling back to the way it was prior to report of the breach of security.

yes the price were really falling but now i think that it has got a good support around 550$ and hope that the price will not further go down, i think now people got their confidence again and they start buying bitcoin, i think that is such a good decision, because the present down fall is just for the time being and hope that the price will start rising very soon, and then no one will be able to buy at so its a good opportunity to buy bitcoin in the present position.

I checked the volumes, the stolen bitcoins are completely sold in exchanges. So until something unordinary happens, we are going up from now on. They sold the last part when the price touched 460$.  I don't think there will be any megadumps soon.

Dude, that's awesome how mere volume numbers tell you who sold!

The bitcoin price could go down due to the Bitfinex hack. But the price could go higher in 6 to 12 months.
in my speculation the price should be increase in november and december this is the same as before  so i think it will happen.. i just fill it.

if you dd not sell your bitcoin about 600$ then there is no use to sell it in current position when the price is touching 550$. i think now you should wait for the price to raise again, because most of the people are expecting that the price of bitcoin will recover its position very soon, therefore it is better to hold your bitcoin instead of selling it in such a low price.
thats true, if you would sell right now then the losses would be big as it would be definitely better to hold for the soon incoming growths i would hold at least for a month

Also you already recouped so you saved price.

The current price drop is a fantastic opportunity to buy yourself some extra coins. And if it turns out that Bitfinex has lost a serious amount of coins due to their hack, then expect the price to tank further. If you buy right now, don't buy with all your fiat. Keep some aside for when the price sinks deeper.

In the last two days bitcoin prices are falling. Should I sell my coins or should I wait. Will the falling trend continues and we will be again back to $450 or something?
currently bitcoin prices doesn't looks so good because decrease to $600 and honestly i'm a part of panic selling because i was already selling half of my bitcoin now however i would see until next few days to see the situations and if the prices doesn't stop falling i think i may to sell all of my bitcoin

Don't panic as bitcoins have always faced such situations. I've been one of them where I bought over 4 BTC in 2014 at $500 and I waited for 2 years to sell them. If I had panicked, I would be in $1000 loss by now. You need to wait for over 2 weeks as I believe the prices would again go up.

i think the present fall down is just for the time being and hope that the price will soon start recovering the price. it is just give an opportunity to those people who really want to buy bitcoin. other wise there no such bad news in bitcoin which can create such a panic situation, there my suggestion is that if some one has bitcion he should hold and those who really want to invest in bitcoin so that is the right time for investment.

while others are seeing this price drop as something bad, it is seen as a welcome happening for day traders. after a calm time there is now a good amount of money to be made if you have enough knowledge. my guess is that the lowest the price will go is in the range of $570-$580 before it goes over $600 again.

Price are falling because more are selling, I like what happened to day actually because I have the opportunity to buy bitcoins but part of my life is also sad for the people who are relying on their income with bitcoin as the value of their earnings are now decreasing.
Earnings are not decreasing too much, already it has raised to a reasonable amount, we have to bother if we have huge amount of coins. Price fluctuations are common in bitcoin, if it drops now it has the tendency to come up again.

I don't think much is gonna happen in the near future price wise other than falls and stagnation. Excitement's over and it's back to boredom as usual.

The price is most likely to drop to $550 in the coming week and hence wait till it drops further as then it may again increase. It happened last month too and I did not panic to sell my coins. Don't take these price fluctuations too seriously and if you are going in a loss never sell your coins as bitcoin prices are never stable.

I just made a post about, it's time to hedge  Smiley

We suggest to hedge position (expecially if you are in profit yet).

Follow our sheme:

A) We suppose you have 100 BTC (bot work the same with 100.000 satoshi too  Smiley )
B) You would preserve FIAT value (so 60 k $)

What you need to do:

1) Sell 20 BTC (20% of your asset) and hold 80 BTC
2) Go short on leverage 5x using these 20 BTC
3) Take Profit on leverage position @ 500$ & Put Stop loss on Holding BTC @500 $ too
4) Stop Loss on Leverage position @660$

This is a simply Hedge position that preserve your BTC value at a cost of about 3 % (spread +  net loss)

But there are lot of hedge strategies: let us work for you, take a look on www.bitib.eu or PM me

Sell your bitcoins guys if you don't want to have fun with the current situation of bitcoins. I still believe that this is not a real crisis and the price will be back up to normal, it has been falling but not falling fast so it means in a few days the price will be back up again, just be patient and don't sell yet.

Maybe it is falling because many user switch to ether because of successful hard fork. Ether manage very well their situation. Its not advisable to sell your coins now because btc price will pump soon. Just wait for ether hard fork effect. And everything back to normal
Soon ether will us Prove of stake confirmation method,  and you can stake you ether to confirm translation,  and it is like investment because you can take it out of the vault anytime.  You earn by confirming translation.  Maybe that's why people are trying to get ether.

The price of bitcoin is falling now. But there might not be too much worry. That is just due to the delay of block size increase.
well i guess i the same, so many people expecting the block size to be increased, blockchain increase promised will occur in july but nothing happened at all, even both have its advantage (and i'm not that much into this problem) this could potentially giving an affect to bitcoin

My idea was to sell the coins now which I bought at lower price before price fall back to my buy price. This way I will make profit because I would still be selling at high price.I want your opinion if it would be wise to sell or should I wait for another pump.
I will definitely buy if price reach $400 and I will again have same amount of coin that I now own

My advice better to wait more days or weeks an monitored the fluctuate of the price if the price is continues to decrease or stable..
So that you can decide to buy bitcoin with the low price..
The price for now is low from past 8 hours and looks like the price of bitcoin will continue to decrease soon.. or if we are lucky the price will increase fast if someone attracted for the price right now..

3 weeks of sideway prices & small volumes is bad enough news in a "semi-highly volatile" market if you catch my drift!
this test of new support's been brewing for quite some time now.

op imo this is no time to sell; i'd be buying as much as i can if i had any leftover fiat; $600 is bargain price at this point!
once the $580~600 support is established a rise to $700~820 is inevitable.

Price dropped a little, no big deal. After long period of stability it seems that people forgot that name of the game here is volatility.
With price decline more people will try to buy bitcoin lower and price will rise again., It is standard market behavior.

However, I am curious, do we have any negative news which explain that price reduction?

Yap, it's going down, after the pump there's always a dump.

There was no good reason for the price to be so high, it will probably stabilize in the 500s.

There has been no real buy support since the block halving has taken place. People that were expecting the price to sky rocket are now seeing their confidence in the price sink deeper every day. That's what they get for insanely high predictions that don't make sense. At least, this volatility is a welcome thing for traders. That's the good thing.

Just as I kept on saying. BTC will go down below $600 and it will stay there for a while. No one is willing to buy it at high prices so it needs to go down and be accumulated for a while. If you are a buyer then this will be good news for you.

What is high? What is low? Compared to what?
People are accumulating since a while if you haven't recongnized.
With every dump or pump emotions kick in as well. Therefore markets over react.Smart traders take advantage of that. That's all you need to know.

I expect the price to stabalize again between 550 and 600 before returning to an uptrend again. Price has remained remarkably satble above 600 before and this was just inevitable to happen.

In addition, ETC has taken all the attention of traders, a lot of btc has been pulled from orders to be put up there as well.

In the last two days bitcoin prices are falling. Should I sell my coins or should I wait. Will the falling trend continues and we will be again back to $450 or something?
in my experience, i don't sell my bitcoin, instead, i wait for it. For me i should rather earn more of bitcoins and when the time comes that the prices will rice, i have bigger chance and more bitcoins to convert. that's practical than sell it at a lower price. it is better to wait until it became higher and who knows maybe next month, it became higher than the price now.

Bitcoin trading is not for the faint hearted. It's not comparable to real life stocks trading where we have a source and predicts if price will go down or not. Look at the halving news where everyone is expecting a big increase or a drop but what happened is exactly nothing. In this case where Bitcoin rate is dropping since July 31 from $657 down to $629 yesterday, It's just a $28 compared to teh previous downward movement of Bitcoin which is bigger.

It shouldn't matter.  If you researched Bitcoin and invested in it, the only other question is if you are long term or short term.

The short term investors should have sold a while ago, while long term investors will know the long term prospects are worth the risks.

Good luck to all.

Well there are a few major support levels between here and there, but yeah, that scenario sounds pretty likely. Especially since $450 will be quite high compared to our recent $160. I'm personally shorting on margin but I think we'll go above $600 eventually

Sell if you believe it'll go further down. I don't think the price will experience a major crash though, I haven't seen anything (as in some bad news) that might make it happen.

I will not sell when the price drops, but that's up to you. I will buy some if it keeps dropping. There's no need to panic because the price is still above $600. I'm not going to worry unless the price drops to about $400.

Wouldn't $400 make you want to buy instead of worry?  Huh

Buy more. If you've devoted time to bitcoin, then you clearly have decided to invest in it. If you're willing to follow that through to the future, then I would buy more and hold the bitcoins. I don't mean to hold until they reach an x dollar benchmark, no. I mean to hold them until you use them directly. After all, that is what we want, right? More adoption with merchants and consumers?

There is no point into selling when the price gets dumped down. Just keep holding your coins and use this price drop to start buying some extra coins. If you sell now, you'll risk buying back your coins at much higher price levels. Don't make yourself sink that low.
