Unfortunately it looks like PrimeAsic is a scam.

If they start now, they can always re-brand themselves as QuantumPrime.

Maybe this is were a majority of the batch 1 preorders went and they are just reselling them =P HAHA

Not possible or at least highly unlikely. Stats don't match. Where did the seller get those extra modules that put him at 80GH/device.
He just ordered 2+ units and assembled one with four modules populated. Does not seem to be very hard, does it?

That would fall into category "highly unlikely". That is possible and one option yes, but what's the point? Having several devices with four modules for resale purpose and keeping all those that have only two. Makes no sense.
That would be one approach convincing the pubilc they have a product. They are the only ones to know it is just one but who cares:)
Second option  (Unlikely) They made big bulk order 100+ Avalons with discount and are reselling them

You know, if that was true I would still fly over there and pick a few up, well I say a few, they are quoted at 17kg each so...

I thought of that as well.  It would be funny if they somehow pirated the chips.

I can't help noticing the similarities between Avalon and PrimeAsic.

Avalon has three hashing units doing little over 20GH/s each.
PrimeAsic has four hashing units, also doing ~20GHz each.

Avalon with three hashing units uses around 620W. This equals to ~200W/hashing unit
PrimeAsic with four hashing units uses around 800W. Also 200W/hashing unit.

Huh??

Can this be a coincidence?
Are these companies co-operating?
