Prime meets all the requirements of a decent and sustainable crypto currency.

now that i have said this you can feel free to invest or mine, over the long term Prime will probably outlast much of the junk here.

including the so called "leaders"

How long has prime been around for now?

Around a year

Anyone interested in Primecoin? I am completely new to this specific currency and heard about it today. I see that its concept is based on searching for chains of prime numbers and the miners dont use SHA256 hashing. I checked their website http://primecoin.io/, the current market cap is over $12k.

What do you think, does it have a future?

TBH, unless primecoin is taken in by some scientific community or college or something, the coin will/is most likely dead....there's not really a purpose to mining it, since there aren't many people buying it...because it doesn't really make sense to buy it when it's only feature is to find prime numbers....

Yea, but if you can mine 10 times faster, you can exchange them for btc later? Smiley Seems logic, if they increase in price.

It's fallen HARD from it's old value but..  Primecoin unlike many of the others is actually doing something for the world.. finding primes!  I have some Prime.

Doesn't that exact concept give the Primecoins extra security in transfers?
