challen if you think primes or prime chains (thats actualy stuff that primecoin is searching for) is useless.. well then you can go to the closest university from you, go to the math department, search for the dean then hit him in the face and while laughting say "you are useless same as primes and their chains"...

or you can die in a corner for bashing what you dont understand but your ego still wants to express your "very needed for community" experience

btw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fSnSFLquVU nice day plan for you to enjoy, kinda would feel you know what you talking about.

This isn't an ego thing. Value is entirely subjective.

Not entirely, primes are a central piece of the mathematical world. They are the atoms of the integers. Understanding primes helps us with understanding integers which can lead to uses in science and scientific spin-off business. For example, because of the huge numbers for Cunningham chains we are finding someone might notice a pattern. The prove some mathematical conjecture based on that pattern and use that newly created fact to do some new science.

If you genuinely believe that finding primes has ABSOLUTELY no value, then I recommend you focus on TRC mining, and that you hold all your coin.

Primecoin mining > zero value

Finding primes has a theoretical expected value. We don't know what the value is, but it's certainly there in theory.

If there was a way to feed starving children, save whales, or cure cancer via mining, I'm sure that value would exceed the value of finding primes. Conversely, mining while doing nothing of value (as is the case with most coins) is theoretically inferior to mining Primecoin.

Bitcoin hashes are worthless. So why does BTC have any value? It's a paradox.

Seems like if PrimeCoin accomplishes what it seeks to do, then there's no need to mine anymore and the coins become obsolete.

Otoh if you believe that prime numbers are intrinsically random and we'll never find a pattern/formula, then PrimeCoin is nothing but more meaningless number crunching like all other cryptos.

I love mining it though. I understand PrimeCoin has broken it's own world records a few times already.
