Dumb question.

If I have private key only as a number and I want to upload it to android wallet (which only allows to scan QR of priv key), what's the best (safest) way to convert key number to QR code?

Best one is google api: https://developers.google.com/chart/infographics/docs/qr_codes

Thanks for replies.

Using bitaddress.org offline seems the easiest option. Didn't notice before they allow to upload existing key, thought it only generates new ones.

For general qr codes I like to use https://www.unitag.io/qrcode ... it lets you generate some fancy qr codes.

The more secure way would probably be to use something like https://www.bitaddress.org download it and use it offline (save as.. or github repo).

You can use something like qrencode or QtQr offline if you feel safer that way Smiley

Have you searched "QR code generator" on google?

You can find a few browser extensions that can do that.

I have. The top result is this one:

http://www.qrstuff.com/

It has an option of 'bitcoin' but it's for public addresses not priv keys. Obviously it's not a smart idea to submit your priv key on any 3rd party website. Hence my question.
