yeah i know in the begging to create a wallet in MYETHERWALLET you need download first the JSon file or keystore but my tutorial if you lose your JSON FILE you can recover it via imtoken thats why i make this threads. Depend it to you if you not trust the imtoken wallet.
you can use official MEW Chrome Extension,
as explained here Change your wallet password (Unencrypted -> Encrypted)
and using that extension also increase your security specially from possible phishing attempts Cool

I don't understand why you need another app to create keystore json file?
did MEW change something?
last time I check you can create/save password protected json file directly from MEW
Huh... MEW actually forces you to download your JSON when you create a wallet... (I've only ever used it with a Ledger Nano S Tongue)

I'm beginning to think the entire purpose of this thread is to scam people with this dodgy "imtoken" wallet...  Roll Eyes

But why not just use an integrated function of MEW to encrypt your private key into a JSON file? What are the benefits of that service compared to MEW?

There are much better options to secure your MyEtherWallet than using some unknown, closed-source wallet app (imtoken??!? never heard of it!). I do not recommend following this procedure at all... Exporting/Importing private keys is asking for trouble unless you know exactly what you're doing and have taken adequate precautions to ensure your keys are not compromised.

You'd be better off using a well known, open-source and respected utility like MetaMask or getting a hardware wallet etc.

Thank for help but warning third party application.

do not worry
imtoken is an application for a lot of people trust and use
I think it better security myetherwallet

do worry!
MyEtherWallet is an open source wallet which you can go to github and download the source code and see it for yourself, and it is easily trusted for that reason.
this application is a closed source wallet which you do not know what it is doing in the background and it is from China. not exactly what you call "trusted".

I just wanted to share what I learned

Now I will share private key you want to make json file or keystore to access myetherwallet.com

There are Newbie making Ethereum wallet using myetherwallet.com when we download the keystore or json file we no longer forget to forget that it is important that I hold my privatekey. Soon you thought it would be ok to use the json file as it also avoided the myetherwallet phissing site. But how about it.?

Requirements:
1. imtoken apps (downloadable via playstore or appstore)
2. notepad (prefered pc)

step by step:
1. Download imtoken application (take to 3mins)
2. Open imtoken apps, we just want to import our private key to imtoken, do not worry about imtoken is legit wallet.
3. Once we import we have a password to put you (Do not forget). see the picture below

4. Your wallet has reached, we just need to go to profile
5. click manage wallet

6. select your wallet and we'll see the Export Keystore and select.

7. enter your password and wait.
8. the "Dont screenshot" will appear click understood.
9. copy keystore.
10. Open your PC do you know how to approach your pc to copy the keystore you copied to.
11. open notepad then paste.
12. save as
13. file name: it's up to you if you want to put that name as it is important to have .json
14. save as type: all files
15: Encoding: ANSI
16: save, ok you have a json file.

Now let's check that he can access myetherwallet. When we use our json file in myetherwallet it will ask you to enter a password that is the password you made in the app imtoken.

thats a 100% successful

I hope my tutorial will help others, Thank you.
